He only dropped one map and that was cloud kingdom. Statistically he's terrible on that map. Keep in mind he was the only one to beat Yoda in the entire group and he was playing from behind when facing Yoda and still won.

It has been a heavy blow to the whole team. ... What series were you watching? Looked a lot like Revival and Taeja both almost beat him, and both were excellent games. Yeah he kept his cool and won them, but they were far from not having a chance.

He beat Taeja two months ago which is pretty relevant. Then the next terran is Ryung over 6 months ago. Sjow has always been a joke. If you include Antiga 1.1 you also have a loss against Taeja on August 26, 2012 and a loss against Illusion on July 7, 2012. Going back much further than 6 months in a game like SC2 starts to get irrelevant due to metagame and balance changes. Using the TLPD information of Hero vs terrans on Antiga is not good support for saying it was smart to put Hero vs Flash on Antiga.

Decided to not lean on Flash/Fantasy for my team and had Fantasy/Wookie/JYP as my bulk... A JYP reverse followed by a Wookie ace match would have been MUCH preferred to this all kill... That's what I get for not stacking aces into my team ![]()

SPL = shown on Korean national TV, millions of viewers (mass market, excellent ad spots for Korean brands) GSL = shown online, hundreds of thousands of viewers (niche/limited market, meh ad spots even for int'l brands) True prestige for these Korean players is in SPL. He cares the same about both...do you really think Flash didn't want to be code S for 2 seasons in a row now? If you do you are a blind fanboy. Do you really think he liked to lose to JD? ![]() He cares about both...but people in his code A group happened to play better than him for the matches while EGTL players played worse and lost.

Using the TLPD information of Hero vs terrans on Antiga is not good support for saying it was smart to put Hero vs Flash on Antiga. The point was to show that Hero has played the map waaaaay before Flash even started playing SC2 full time (which was in September) and did fairly well on the map vs Terran. Also, who are you to say that it isn't good support? How do you know that Hero didn't practice specifically on that map and had a prepared build for Flash? Did you watch his practice games on the map? Do you know his win/loss ratio during his practice games on that map while preparing for Flash which is why they decided to send him? The answer is a big fat NO. In other words, there was a reason he was sent and only the people working with him know it. Just because your favorite didn't win doesn't mean you have to blame it on the map he had more than a year playing with fairly good results vs Terran.

Had Flash made that early bunker, he would have crushed MC and get through his group first. This is a purely objective point, since Flash nearly bet him from an initial 30 supply deficit. The difference between a 3-2 and 4-1 ratio was massive in terms of consequence, but from a statistical point of view, it's just meaningless, particulary considering that Starcraft 2 in it's current state is far more volatile than War3 or BW.

Kespa players were forced into competing in the GSL. Remember when Gom and all the ESF players threw a fit and threatened to boycott the OSL if Kespa didn't immediately make their players participate in the Code A qualifiers?

That's a pretty interesting spin on things. Kespa players were allowed to compete in GSL. ESF 'threw a fit' if Kespa didn't immediately give their players the option of playing in the Code A qualifiers. I'm sure all the Kespa players are cursing their luck at being involved in a $125000 tournament in their home city.
