It doesn't necessarily make you the better player (I think Violet's an amazing player), but if you get a slow as shit army comp that can't defend your base you should actually be punished for that. In most strategy games that's a bad strategy, with Zerg it doesn't matter how much damage gets done to you as long as you keep a building and split your force of broods/infestors.

Hero not getting any archon's into the vortex? Violet played that properly, but he didn't end up winning because of his decision making, Hero didn't execute it 100% perfectly Thats exactly what the problem is. We have a situation where you have to play "100% perfectly" to win, that makes far superior players lose games on a regular basis. Even winrates and skill requirements were balanced out, the matchup would be competely broken because the only thing bringing it remotely close to equilibrium are several borderline completely broken all in's that hit in the early to midgame transition that are a mirror of the exact same problem
Hero didn't have to play 100% perfectly to win. Just not lose the mothership while landing two vortex without archons on infestors which had already thrown their infested terrans.
Hero had this game and he blew it, just like it happens in every match-up, it's just more flashy when its ZvP.

He got punished for that, he was completely all-in on that army and he should have lost.

HerO wasted A LOT more resources harrassing than violet lost. The latter was cost-efficient with his units. HerO lost when he ran all his units into that vortex and lost his whole army (why would you ever run colossi into a vortex?)

He needs to transition to carrier/templar, plain and simple. He had the time, but he stayed on stalker/archon. Hero may have largely outplayed Violet, but his endgame strategy was lacking.
I think people have a distorted perception of how effective those constant warp-ins cost. Sure it's nice to see all the multi-tasking but when you're trading 1000s of resources to kill like a hatch, is it really outplaying your opponent...

Even the casters were talking about it. Hero was completely outplaying Violet, but Violet's army could just a-move over him.
That shouldn't happen!!

That vortex on all the broods at Violet's 4th should have won Hero the game, but he threw the rest of his units in and pushed the archons out of the center. Plus, he didn't have enough AoE (not enough archons and storm) in the engagement at his forward expansion. To anyone who says storm sucks against Broodlords, watch Squirtle vs Mvp...if storms can kill 500-hp battlecruisers, they can kill 225-hp broodlords.
Feedback was what killed MvPs BCs, storms were just the finishing touch.

Do you have a link? Or where is this game from? I'd assume its feedback and not storm killing the battlecruisers :p

HuK has very good chance of making it to losers round 8 :D because now he face ryung, then yoda, then winner of taeja sniper(taeja, baad tvp) and then HerO(baad PvP) :D

I wish this game would be more exciting than mass infestor bl every game.

The fact that Protoss can do all that, and still has to rely on a 100% perfect engagement with 2+ perfect vortex's to win just seems kind of silly to me. I mean besides getting violet to clump up every single BL, what more could Hero actually do?

The last two vortexes were awful, did you even watch the game. this wasl ike the worst engagement ever sorry i love hero but this was simply a thrown game with this engagement. I think he ment the 2 absolutley great ones in the first late game engagement. He made 2 perfect vortexes and came out even.

Now, even if Taeja wins this match and the next, he has to face Hero. QQ

He did have like 6 archons on that toiled, and 2 outside. I don't know what you are speaking about. Problem was getting the colossi inside, and the infested terrans countering the good vortex. PvZ lategame is so retarded it hurts, not because of balance, but how it's played.
