Marine tank tvz is really hard to watch these days against someone who can mass creep spread and awesome infestor control. Mech seems to be the true answer to tvz these days.

He traded the "Entire marine army" because he was going mecha nd it was going to be useless. If you look there, he actually traded more effectively with the marines, the units lost after they died was double in his favor. He traded the marines very well AND got a hatch.

Trading (Minerals) of hellions when you go mech is fine. With MEch you always have WAY too many minerals and not enough gas. Those hellions were basically free. At that point, Bomber was STILL ahead in suplly and had about 20 more workers.

Yes, marines are useless later, but the point is that it's not as damaging as it appears. Throwing away mineral units makes sense if you get to a maxed 3-3 mech army, which Bomber did not. Therefore, it's trading time, production, and money on delaying your opponent growing their economy too. Bomber spent time and money getting 4 rax up (could be earlier gas, earlier armories, earlier factories) and simply delayed a hatch. Please do not say he 'got a hatch', he merely cancelled it.

Yes, it is true that trading hellions is an excellent thing to do, particularly when you can max on gas units. But Bomber did not. Furthermore, when players like MVP trade hellions for economy, they do so EFFICIENTLY. It is a common sight to see two groups of 4 hellions racking up 30+ kills at two bases, and then some even escaping. 20 drone kills, not splitting your drones, getting trapped in the main, and then not trading efficiently at all (10 hellions for 20 drones) is not impressive and is hardly 'outplaying' Scarlett. For a top level terran, I would say it is poor play. Particularly when it is unscouted and the zerg has no roaches and no spine crawlers.

I don't say you have to do damage to zerg's economy, thanks.

And finally, yes, one bad engagement can turn a game. You may recall the first game in this series where Scarlett was ahead of Bomber the whole time and then lost because of the bad engagement.
