(Aside, as a Stephano fan, I hate ppl bitching when I'm sure 80+% ppl didn't actually see the nightend game.. Stephano was untouched and dominating the first 15 min+ 6 bases almost to 3/4 bases taking down nightends 4th twice. then he creates 20+BLs really fast with fast upgrades so he has no static defenses (lackadaisical) so obviously he gets overrun by harass... but his army is twice Nightends pure stalker army (no archons))
And how is that a "travesty" sounds like inferior strategic play.

3rd hatch goes down, HuK going for cannoning, Overlord spots, sends ling, HuK cancel's pylon, loses initial probe.

Map is Tal Darim alter, Vibe in top left, HuK in bottom right. Nothing crazy so far, forge first vs 15 pool 16 hatch, hatch goes down at Vibe's third due to HuK's probe at the natural and there's no rocks at the third there on TDA anymore. ok i'll let you do this one :D

Gases starting to go down for Vibe at 44 supply. So far just two gases.

And Huk *was* outplaying Vibe for the most part but didn't execute well enough to win, so I just didn't want to hear any Zerg Op crap.

Roach warren goes down, HuK sends a zealot out, reinforces with 4 more at Vibe's third

I don't get this, if this is really MLG vs Proleague, why are they making everyone from the same side play against each other first in the playoffs?

huk wins this game and then loses on shakuras plateau

Vibe holds at his third without losing too much, HuK throws down a third.
HuK loses a stalker in the middle of the map

HuK takes Vibe's 4th down to 25% HP Dark shrine is about 75% complete. HuK loses that pylon above Vibe's 4th.

Vibe takes a ton of bases, and starts muta production.

DTs take out some drones and two hatcheries. Vibe's mining off of two base, supplies at 131 to 113 in vibe's favor.

I understand how the format works; what I was asking is the rationale behind it, aka why?

Another hatch goes down, HuK's got a 40 supply lead but Vibe has a huge mineral bank.

HELL YEAH!
HuK pushes out with a huge stalker force and caught Vibe with his pants down. Vibe had his pants around his ankle's as DT's had been pantsing him for the last fifteen minutes.
Lets go HuK!

Thanks for the live updates, TheDougler. I really appreciate it.
GO HuK!

Well said, I get that the Zerg deathball is nearly unstoppable, but there are ways Protoss can win. Unfortunately it's too easy to neural the mothership, but if that doesn't happen, Protoss has chances on 2-3 base timings, or limiting the zerg economy. It's just that Stephano already built a killer (and well upgraded) army.
