Standard LR rules apply: No balance whining, no KeSPA vs. GomTV inciting, no excessive derailing ESPECIALLY when games are on. This is not a thread for you to argue with other people.
It has been a few months since I was this hyped for an sc2 match ^^...I really like Rain but don't want him to win the GSL just yet, and MVP has the best chance to stop him imo

i honestly think rain vs mvp will be bigger than the finals. no offense to the tl star taeja or the rising zerg life but they are basically irrelavent atm.
How the hell is TaeJa irrelevant. Lately TaeJa has been in the spotlight FAR more than MVP.
ehhh, i wouldn't say that.
It's not long ago TaeJa was considered 'the best player' by a lot, and MVP hasn't done much since that period.
so that gsl win against squirtle and the fact hes in ro4 again is what?

I think he means, Taeja has been getting all the attention in the foreign scene since he won MLG Summer Arena, Mvp's GSL win was before that. Now they are both in ro4, so taeja has been getting more attention since his rise with his 3 gold medals in foreign touirnaments to Mvp's 1.

That GSL win was in May, soon after TaeJa started dominating and was in the spotlight. Keep in mind I was replying to someone saying TaeJa is irrelevant now.
And while I'm a terran fanboy in general, I'm unable to get very excited about Taeja. He's a good player for sure, but still lacks innovative playstyles and doesn't have a big title to actually live up to the 'best player in the world'-hype. Win a GSL, then we'll talk.
It will be a VERY close series, but the race unbalance will prevail.
MVP vs Rain:
MVP TvP is top notch. He knows better than any T how to mix very efficient all-ins, fakes, and mind games to take any toss out of his game. So imo MVP will win in a very interesting series (but frustrating for P fans due to the almost sure usage of all-ins/cheese)

Well MVP won IEM more recently. Also taeja had some failings more recently.

didn't taeja just win dreamhack like less than 2 weeks ago?
yeah he's had a lot of losses in online games ( vs vortix in RSL, vs Byul in EGMC, vs a whole bunch of people in other egmc and IPTL matches ) but he's still looking good.
God, the GSL Semi-Finals and Finals always seem to roll around RIGHT after I fixed my sleep pattern. I'm basically obligated to ruin my sleep pattern, and order a pizza to watch it... at 2am.

I wouldn't disagree with that either. But we're not talking about overall results 2012. We're talking about their most recent code s performance. And I don't think many would disagree with the fact that mkp's opponents in gsl were 50x easier than mma's to get to ro8
looks like you have quite a few disagreeing with you already. it's not impossible for mkp to advance from such a group, he's got the h2h lead over taeja and something like 85% TvT this year.
three random people on TL forums, whose knowledge/intelligence are completely unknown, don't exactly phase me. He's got the H2H lead over TaeJa when you consider 2011 lol. but this is 2012, the year where Taeja has been considered the best player in the world for the majority of. Don't you remember when TaeJA all-killed Prime and crushed mkp in the ace match? If you made a poll: who would win in a best of 7, taeja or mkp, I'm 99% sure that 95% ppl would vote taeja.
actaully, taeja held the h2h last year, but mkp does this year. don't forget mkp's drubbing of taeja 5-1 in ipl. i'm sure such a poll would not favour taeja heavily, if at all.

MKP had the easier group. It doesn't matter his stats in TvT. MasterKang is addressing the GROUP not stats of how well a player is doing. If you honestly believe that MVP and Taeja in a group is easier than Jaedong and MC, both of who have dropped out (well MC going to up and downs), you honestly have to reevaluate what "easy" means
well this point of his argument was that mkp would have dropped out of the ro32 - no, demolished - if he was in MMA's group, which is something i disagree with.
perhaps demolished is hyperbole, but the vast majority would agree that mkp's group was much much easier and that his chances of advancing in MMA's group are extremely extremely slim
not extremely slim -> mana should be an easy win, while mvp is difficult, and taeja is definitely beatable.
The fight club match was not during TaeJa's rise to prominence. Early 2012 TaeJa is a COMPLETELY different player than he is now. There is a reason TaeJa is poised to take the GSL and MKP is not. TaeJa has been demolishing everybody, with the exception of Rain and younghwa. For you to say that Taeja is not ridiculously favored against mkp is well, ridiculous
actually, it was during june, which is about that time taeja did well taeja has been dropping games left and right... don't know how much you keep up
Yet Taeja is in Ro4 while MKP is out. Yup dropping games left and right, but still about to win GSL. nice.
yeah, taeja is doing better than mkp right now. but he is not the favourite in a head to head.
i really wish we could make a poll about who would win in a best of 7. And a poll with a sufficient pool of participants. I guarantee you taeja would be greatly favored, maybe unless you posted it on reddit since they are all mkp fans
Poll: WHO WOULD WIN MKP VS TAEJA BO7 GSL MAPS?
MARINEKING PRIME (35)
65%
LIQUID TAEJA (19)
35%

you realize that poll has already been tainted by the bias in the previous thread? Make a brand new poll when ppl are actually on the ro4 thread and we'll actually get some valid results
