Prior one = One of the first instances of foreigners vs koreans, and subsequent excitement after foreigners won stuff (and lots of activity arguing about lag =p). Foreigners vs Koreans is still one of the biggest storylines for the foreign audience, any time someone beats koreans they get a huge swell of support. Breakout stars because the scene was less developed to really know who would perform. It was less connected back then even between NA and EU too, hence a lot of arguments between EU guys who knew their players were doing well in EU online cups and NA guys who liked their guys. This time around we all know how foreigners vs koreans generally looks. And we know almost everything about players because of how much competition there is. The biggest "surprise" of the tournament was JRecco but people already knew he could get big wins from several tournaments prior to the TSL. Couple that with the amount of big lans, quality online tournaments, and other events on during the same time period and it becomes very hard for an online tournament to stand out, even one as prestigious as the TSL

Really defensive siege tank play, and just positioning his units to intercept Sting's aggression. He knew he was going to outplay Sting, so he just let the lesser player make the first moves, and then exploit his holes and be aggressive once he has the advantage. Next time, Sting will show us better games and just more calm decision making. I BELIEVE IN STING FOR TSL5 EVEN STILL. STING STING STING STING STING STING STING STING STING STING STING STING

My memory is pretty crap so the "feel" is most of what I got left. :p But the surrounding hype is missing. No big and blown up finals with multiple videos and stuff. It's like it's just "played off", you know.

Sting did the usual stuff, a mixture of all ins, hidden expansion and other silly stuff which ended up breaking down first

It was a very nice example of how to play a BoX series. Well thought out gambles, build choices, variety, and all executed nicely.
