I don't think any professional player has ever had consistent success against a Protoss in a long game using mech. There are/were a few timing pushes, but not factory-based macro play.


hack had some success with mech but it was a short period and he doesnt do it anymore

when mkp won the first engagement and forced the cancel on the fourth he could have just ended it right there, or at least killed the third. You can't play that timid vs toss

Obviusly the jetlag+kespa added nerves, forced him to attack in balls against the toss whole army, he forgott about abusing the mobility in different fronts, he coulda denyed the 5th and try to fight on a better concave instead of that choke.

That's because nobody has tried. They're pros because they play standard well and they play for money. Mech isn't standard right now and outside of Goody near the start, nobody else bothered to try and make it work.

It definately does, it's just very, very difficult. Then again with Bio ending the way it is recently I think mech may become standard by the fact bio being so much harder late game.
