Is it just me or do Taeja and Hero seem to meet up ALOT in groups/brackets?

It's not a done deal until MLG posts the bracket. However, the current bracket on Liquipedia is based on the published seeds and the Group Play format posted here.

The point is that if the #1 and #2 seeds have to play the open bracket winners, they'll likely get stronger Round 1 opponents than what the #3 and #4 seeds have.

FYI MLG Lee said that their twitch and own3d channels will be broadcasting the first few rounds of WCS NA starting around 1:30 pm (i think, going off memory of what he said on Lo3) since MLG isn't starting until 5pm. Might want to add that to the OP so people don't miss the start of WCS NA.

The same thing struck me when looking at the brackets on Liquipedia...top 2 seeds could end up playing MKP, Leenock, JYP, Heart, theSTC, Thorzain, etc. rather than some of the random American players who are seeded in. Doesn't seem to make much sense to me.
edit: no disrespect to the aforementioned American players, but I don't think anyone will argue that they are not at the level of the Code S/A players I mentioned from the open bracket.

no love for Ryung on the poll? :<

Whoa, Group D seems MUCH weaker than all of the other groups.
MEH, I r an Mericun so SHETH, ILLUSION, AND QXC HWAITTING!
Oh, and if Binski, Sasquatch, Caliber, and Gix make good showings (not getting swept by foreigners) that'd be great too!

Why isn't HuK in one of the groups if he has a top three seed?

Yeah, it seems like a silly way to seed it. MLG considers anyone in the Open Bracket a lower seed, but practically, that's a silly idea.

The Open Bracket has separate seeding from Groups (and the Open Bracket winners who make it into Groups will be re-seeded 25-32).

You forgot about Stephano in your Mericun All-Star list.

There is a reason why he's called the forgotten son. Once just another Terran amongst a sea of Slayers Terrans, but now it seems like he is one of the last of that breed.
Fans are fickle though. Ryung has the skill and personality to become a fan favorite though...
