I would hope these "Day 1" thread's that are started days before the actual event begins would just be closed. There is just a lot of needless confusion when normally these threads are set up when the event actually begins.

I totally do not understand the seeding.

Group A: 1 + 8 + 11 + 15 + 17 + 21 = 73
Group B: 2 + 7 + 10 + 13 + 20 + 24 = 76

How the hell does that make sense? Why is group C the hardest and group D the easiest if you go by pure ranking (I'd say also by players there). This is assuming a "linear scale" in goodness in comparison to seed. Other monotonic functions also don't make sense (logarithmic for instance was one that I thought they might have used)

If you think it was planned in order to distribute races and/or teams, I counter with 4 terrans in each of groups A and B and only 1 in each of C and D, or Taeja and HerO facing a potential teamkill. I am boggled by this setup.

Really looking forward to this MLG always has good events and I have watched every MLG to date so its almost a tradition to get comfortable get so junk food and somethinf to drink invite friends or go to friends and just chill and watch some sc

It's a lot of work to make those, and it helps to build up hype! If he keeps the OP updated on the day of the event, nobody should complain about an early thread imo. It clearly states in the OP when the event will be, so nobody should be confused, really.

As for hype suggestions, just add the word "Taeja". No explanation needed I think

I believe that the reasoning behind this is that seeds 9-12 (for example) would have finished in the same position at the Arena (assuming everyone above them showed up to the Championship), so it's not really fair to put 9 in a better position than 10, 11, or 12 in the Groups based on MLG rank or whatever. Thus they randomize the groups where they're inserted.
