And they are going to stream each of those group matches rather than any open bracket today? I'm not criticizing; I just want to make sure I understand the schedule. Half of the Groups' Winners Bracket Round 1 matches can/will be played today. The broadcast schedule has Group WR1 taking up all of today's Red Stream time (those were supposed to be the KeSPA players' matches). The Blue Stream will start with WCS and may transition into Open Bracket games later on in the evening. The early rounds of the Open Bracket will be on Premium. To help you out, here is a general rule: Early rounds are less interesting, later rounds are more interesting. It's a good idea to plan your schedule so that you give more time to interesting matches rather than less interesting matches.

Thus they invite more Terrans. Just a theory. All of the players seeded into the group stage got there based on results at previous MLG events. No players got "invited", and especially would not have gotten invited based on what race they play.

MLG, why do you refuse to learn from past mistakes? When you tinkered with the format, you must have thought about how to broadcast the matches? This is not a good solution. To help you out, here is a general rule: Early rounds are less interesting, later rounds are more interesting. It's a good idea to plan your schedule so that you give more time to interesting matches rather than less interesting matches. It appears that they set up the broadcast schedule (and possibly the change in Group format*) in order to showcase the KeSPA players on Friday night...only they didn't show up. * - This speculation has little basis in fact, but if they wanted to have eight KeSPA guys come over again (like in Anaheim) and play in Groups, it would have made the group size somewhat of a burden for the old round-robin Pool Play format.
