I wondered it myself, IEM stream has like 18k viewers. And who do they watch really: Slivko, Hasuorbs, Moonglade))) when Leenock, aLive, Hero are playing?
day9 is a big factor here.
lol, and I thought the quality of games should be a factor here
They are for me.
18k is really not that much, i'm pretty sure WCS has more viewers.

Sweet! I didn't know they had a video that had EVERY single BW pro ever to play the game just showing off their multitasking. Blanket statements are great eh? This place is such a joke now. Even reddit seems less...
I do find it interesting that someone links arguably the best multitasker to ever play broodwar as a reason that players from kespa have excellent mechanics.
Yah I have seen this before and it is very impressive but it wasnt something every one did
you seem to not realize the basic multitasking skill all KeSPA A-teamers must have, a lot of Bisu's harassment shenanigans wouldn't work on most KeSPA A-teamers nowadays because it basically became a requirement to have good multitask to even be on the roster.
You think that the average kespa a-teamer has better mechanics then jaedong did during his 2009 period of dominance?
There is a quote from Bisu stating that he abandoned his harass-oriented PvZ playstyle because zergs in general got too good at blocking them, which would indicate a general increase in multitasking skill among KeSPA players
Jaedong of 2011/2012 is better than his 2009 self, but the average KeSPA A-teamer of 2011/2012 can at least somewhat come close to 2009 Jaedong
Do you think his mechanics improved or his knowledge of how to play the game? I tend to think the latter.
Multitasking is very vague term when it comes to influence of winning the game. You could say that they learned to spend their actions to counter harass better which would be both actually.
That's true, it's also why I hate using blanket terms like mechanics, multitasking apm etc. I just dont know a better term for it.
Especially considering that mechanics doesn't include the all important game sense.
Here comes the brood lord push from Soulkey backed by a TON of infestors. HerO has only a handful od blink stalkers and templars along with his mother ship. Hes trying to rebuild his fourth but Soulkey is now knocking on the door at the naturals!!!
So many storms used by HerO though, driving Soulkeys army back momentarily!!! Soulkey rotating his broods up to Hero's main though, kills some gateways and backs off

my point still stands. KeSPA players had to really push their multitasking ability to the limit in order to stay competitive, something GSL players never really had to do before.
