when people hold it, it's because they disable all the tech units, hurt everything, and remax with 120 2/2 adrenal zerglings and clean up shop, then morph the broodlords.
on ladder I almost always counterdrop the toss with zerglings at the same time. I may have to sac one of my bases while holding but I kill their main nexus (not important for minerals, but still important for gas) and it's still okay.

proxy hatch wasnt that bad because creator decided to attack it with 4 drones for a full minute, thats 200 minerals lost in mining. hydras suck but unless the air did nothing z should be miles ahead.

The best TvZ game post 1.4.4 (as far as skill is involved, the best TvZ game either) was played on this map, MMA had an awesome TvZ vs Violet, Seed/Symbol was great too, aLive/Parting was definitely a good game, Byun/Keen was really hilarious and a great show fro Byun's skills and understanding of TvT and so on..
people remind metro because after taking a nap they saw battlecruisers and carrier that's all

Metropolis is much more Z favoured than Whirlwind. The way whirlwind works, you can circumvent the Broodlord death ball. You can't do that on metropolis.
On met you can attack into broods or sit back, in whirlwind you can actually walk around the slow army and do some damage.
So passive happens on met more than whilr which means whirl is more interesting. But its huge so before lategame its worse but its better lategame.
This is where map making is at right now its either monstrous but built to let you circumvent an army and counter, or massive and single attack lane and impossible to counter. At least one of them has more interesting lategame than the other

Metro has made for a lot of interesting games because of how different it is. Sculp vs Symbol comes to mind, actually a lot of Symbol games come to mind...but yeah i kinda like the map because of how different it is. It's like Atlantis only less shitty. Whirlwind is alright but not That great.

Whirlind has a passive early if you get cross pos, still in some mu it's still really dynamic (TvT) and there is stuff happening in the midgame if the players are willing too but you can go for a turtle build on CK too if you want, its more a strategic choice than anything.
