Not really. You can expand yourself and will have more workers, at best it'll be even. You can also spread them thin with warp prism harass while taking your own nexus or choosing to all-in, you can sentry forcefield their ramp with a warp prism, so on.

lol we can play out a game of it tomorrow if you wish, though you may be a better player than me so it may not mean much. An aggressive four gate peters out fast, three gate robo is far more stable and you can fairly easily take your expo. Sentries and immortals are quite good versus just pure gateway units, it's also map dependent on how hard it is to defend your ramp. On maps like Shakuras you can easily cut armies into segments as they try to brute force their way up.

Dude you are making way too many wrong assumptions, four gate loses to 3 gate robo the vast majority of the time. Four gate is terrible to transition out of.

No, 4 gate loses to 3 gate + robo. not 1 gate + robo. You're confusing the two, it really isn't if you aren't bad.

Yeah, and plus you have a massive tech advantage, this was like the original 4gate counter, not sure what this guy is talking about.

You can't expo as quick as he thinks he can. The original 4 gate counter? 1 gate robo has never been the 4 gate counter lol. The 4 gate player would ahve to mess up hugely to not successfully take advantage of his BO win.


With an observer after the immortal you can watch the opponents natural and expand right after and still be ahead in tech. I honestly think you are just talking about of you ass because it IS a counter to 4gate, unless the robo player messes up terribly and lets warp ins get into his base.

That's not how it works. You can chronoboost the immortal fairly well and you won't need many sentries at all to delay for it. I have never had a player beat me after an aggressive four gate has been defended, I can take my expo or pretty much go kill them because you will have nothing but zealots and a couple stalkers. I have two gas, three gates, allows constant stalker production + immortals + sentries, all of which are good versus the meager amount of zealots and couple stalkers you will push out. If you're below your ramp and not warping in constant sentries versus a counterpush you are completely dead.

I'm done. There's no debating with you man. I'm top 8 masters and 1 gate + robo is not effective against 4 gate any which way. A good player can abuse you to no end.
