It's Yugioh. 100% sure we will get weird games and some good games. He actually got some unorthodox build that sometimes prove effective. Hopefully i can steal some today.

Reality might win it, but it will be close i think.

Honestly, I feel the Collosus's design is salvageable. They could cut its movement speed in half, upped its damage and lowered its attack speed and they could make it a proper siege unit on par with the Siege Tank and Broodlord.
You'd have to babysit them, but properly micro'd they'd be even more devastating than they are now, but they wouldn't be suited to the deathball as much because they aren't nearly as mobile.
That is a horrible idea, the entire concept of the protoss deathball in the first place is creating an army that is unbeatable, it doesnt matter how or where you engage as long as you reach that maxed army you can win 2 base vs 5. That was the original idea, and pretty much how it played out before zerg players knew how to deal with it and before major nerfs to the void ray etc, if you increase the DPS or even just the flat damage of the colossus at a cost to movement speed, you are making the deathball stronger and making the entire race weaker where they were most weak before. It would make every game stupid and one sided as either the unbeatable army rolled over everything with no significant losses, or its massive weaknesses in mobility etc got exploited so hard that the protoss player couldnt do anything aside from roll over and die.

Agreed. That article is responsible for such a huge divide in both the BW and SC2 communities here at TL.

As Zerg you can't punish him easily for taking it, since the FFs will delay an attack long enough to be able to push it back unless you go all-in. So, you have to play greedily like he did otherwise Hero will destroy him just before Blords come out with a maxed 3/3 army o death. Just feels weird that a Protoss can take a greedy fast 3rd and then their opponent is still expected to be ready for a large enough attack to kill them. Or maybe Hero is better than his opponent. Really, that's not even remotely unpunishable and there are certain limits to zerg greed while still keeping them even. Broodlord/infestor is good. No doubt that Hero was the better player, I'm talking more generally in this case. Assuming the players are of even skill how do you punish that without going all-in? Seems quite easy to hold on that map. It's probably as simple as Effort having to make a mix of units and workers. You know, if you want to take a fast 4th, make 5 workers less and have 7 instead of 2 roaches on the map, so you can burn the 7 sentry 2 zealot moveout.
Or you research an upgrade, that suddenly transforms your supply units into dropships and then you laugh about FF.

I for one had my doubts when that article came to to fruition. But coming from the influx in 2010 I was ignorant, horribly ignorant and had no idea how good those players were. Now that I've learnt much more about both scenes I'd have to say that it was a tad pre-emptive to write such an article basically warning anyone and everyone that BEWARE. ONCE THEY SWITCH. IT'S GG FOR NON KESPAS.
Now we're starting to see that yes, they're improving a ton but I don't think it's quite the same effect as The Elephant in the Room would suggest.

Pretty much. I mean, you don't have to punish a greedy toss third, you can take a very fast fourth and the game enters sorta late mid-game where zerg is going for hive and stuff happens inbetween. If you poke out far as toss, imagine if your opponent suddenly has a lot of units and you lose everything in the middle of the map, it's almost impossible to come back from. The feeling when you're doing a sentry heavy poke out and everything gets fungaled...t.t
