Actually, Ro30 will actually be split up. The first sesssion involving 10 matches between 20 players will be on the 29th (Sunday) and the other 5 matches between the remaining 10 players will be Aug 1 (which is the date of the 2nd GSL groups). Yes, it is confusing....
27th - 13 Kespa groups will be played - 13 Kespa qualified players
28th - 9 GSL groups will be played - 9 GSL qualified players
29th - 2 (Kespa vs Kespa) - 1 (GSL vs GSL) - 7 (Kespa vs GSL)
So that is 4+7=11 Kespa and 2+7=9 GSL players which is everyone from 27th and 28th EXCEPT Kespa 3, 5. And we will have 10 who qualify for Ro16
Aug 1st - 8 GSL groups will be played - 8 GSL qualified players
- 3 (GSL vs GSL) - 2 (Kespa vs GSL)
So that is the remaining 8GSL+2 Kespa to get 5 more qualifiers for Ro 16.
10 + 5 + MVP = Ro16
Heh, keeping up with the brackets for this is going to be FUN!!!

I love Wolf and Khaldor and all the english casters 99.99% of the time. but Korean cast just brings back the good old days nice to have a blast of Nostalgia every now and then!
Edit: You can watch it through gom they are restreaming it on their player.
Thanks for this. Gomplayer was doing that stupid thing were it would go too fast or something then get choppy unless I played it at like x.08 speed or have to drop it to the lowest and speed it back up T.T
If you are watching in through the GOM player you can change the Aspect Ratio to 16, makes the in game footage look more "normale". (Right Click->Aspect Ratio->16).

Why doesn't Jaedong build anything but roaches? D: I hope it's because he's still focusing time on BW. He'll have to work on long term strategies once it's full time SC2 though.

He's just doing what works. It's not his fault that every race in SC2 has a dragoon.
weirdly close game. I thought JD was going to lose as hes about to confront toss' army, turns out he tried to maneuvered and caught them offguard, killing all immortals with ease

tbh there aren't many more opportunities for BW, i think JD would be playing a lot of sc2 lately hrm
are they not showing the rest of the games in this Bo3?

About the challenge or the EZ mode? I was serious about both of them. Plagues and ensnare took prediction and great skill to pull off well. I'm silver and I can do fungals on par with pros with ease.

What would you like him to build in that situation? He had zerglings too. Teching = death in that situation. He played it right by staying with lings and roaches. The time and resources to get up infesters or anything would most likely mean he doesn't have nearly enough army to survive.

please don't be so BW elitist, especially in the SC2 forums.

I was suggesting a plausible reason why Jaedong didn't get infestors. I don't want to find roaches and infestors boring. But they are for me, and they are much less exciting than other zerg unit options in Sc2 and BW. It's not elitist to state this.

You really think that pros would neglect a unit completely just because they have a giant ego? This is a really dumb thing to think.
edit: I can buy them not using infestors because they haven't had much time with the game, and tech timings are something you need to get comfortable with. To say it's because they want a challenge is dumb.

The players you worship so much would probably be ashamed of having their fans making such ridiculous statements. A good player won't give a shit about pretentious crap like this. Why would they hold themselves down?
Either way, your second comment is just the more ridiculous, that I cannot be sure you aren't actually kidding me.

Who said anything about ego? I said infestors are less fun than correlating zerg units from brood war, and that is likely having an effect on the Kespa player's' preliminary unit choices. Players like flash were drawn to BW for it's limitless skill ceiling, These are the kind of people that got addicted to BW because it was so ridiculously unforgiving.

I encourage you to learn more about SC2's heritage via the original game. My only hope is that the infestor will get a casting animation for fungal because it proves so imba, or it just gets replaced by the viper.

I did play Broodwar so I know what you mean, and while I agree that they could do with increasing the mechanical difficulty of the game I just don't like it when discussions like this encroach LR threads.
Anyway fungal actually does have a projectile, but the projectile travels so fast and is cast instantly that there is probably <.5s delay on it (at max range). Perhaps making the projectile more visible and slightly slower would make it more interesting and dodge-able.

Yea strategy wise they are a bit off, that is obvious.
On the other hand their macro and micro are on par with Code A calibre players. And seeing asm any of these guys that suck have recently won and taking games off many GSL players. Saying "They still suck" is just wrong.

I see nothing wrong with calling it as I see it. I'm not referring to all Kespa players, just these two. Obviously Kespa players have taken out some b level SC2 pros lately to much fanfare - and a couple good players as well, to be fair (still kind of shocked Jjakji lost for instance).
The Kespa protoss seem to be doing well, and are effectively using the various deadly timings the race has in SC2. Right now most Kespa zergs seem to be playing like it's 2011 and can't deal with any toss pressure, but they'll figure it out eventually.

Zergs are strong now in sc2 but getting good grasp with zerg requires massive trial and error method which all good zergs had in 2010,2011 already.
