Surprised that Yugioh qualified again. He must be either really lucky or underestimated. Meanwhile, NesTea loses midway through the bracket...
And solid protoss play by Stork, glad to see a few non-legendary Kespa players doing well.

YugiOh is the BONJWA of qualifiers. Guess the format really suits him.

These qualifiers have been interesting. GSL players playing a lot of old builds...

Trying to show Kespa players what they have missed the last 2 years.
Very nice of them.

I think the roach hydra style is coming back because zerg's are good enough to be able to transition well and micro their army better than before. It's really not a bad unit comp if you engage right.

Protoss also wait waaayyy longer these days to start colossus/HT tech as they favor getting out more immortals first, so hydras have a bigger window to be useful.
i was driving down the road this november eve and spotted a hitchhiker walking down the street. i pulled over and saw that it was only a tree. i uprooted it and put it in my trunk. do trees like marshmallow peeps? cause that's all i have and will have.

Yeah he should have gone full Kespa with sentries

I think at least 20 sentries would work. We should get Bisu to try

This is the key. Against Roach/Hydra/Corruptor, sentries are the key.

If you remove the corruptors and replace with infestors, HT are the key.

If you remove the hydras, colossi are the key.

Very true, the current meta leans towards Protoss getting 5 or 6 immortals to counter the early roach pressure, they are not nearly as useful against hydras.

Ragnarok went roach/hydra off 3/4 bases and just attacked over and over. Stork held the first 2 with good FFs but lost sentries. Once the FFs were gone, Ragnarok was able to trade well and had superior production.

Thats the shift in metagame for you, roach hydra is slower timing than pure roach and less mobile but if you can strike efficiently it can end the game right there.

Why would you think that. If there's one thing we've seen the last couple of days it's that most Kespa players seem to have a strong mirror match up.

Because Polt is a very special kind of beast, I've watched his stream a LOT, he almost NEVER loses after he gets to 3 bases, his positioning, engagements and overall decisions are just way better than almost everyone else, simply put he is too smart.
So... what that make you? Good? You're not good. You just know how to hide, how to lie

The problem was more that stork kept getting immortals after he had his bay, 2 colossi and 5-6 immortals already. I don't see advantage in that over colossi

Well you can scout before you make 6 immortals with an obs. If you see hydra early then you shouldn't lose if you engage in good positions.
