Four days ago on Live On Three he said he wouldn't take it. I don't know what interview you're talking about.

I wait for the day he drops off. So we can't have emotions, ok Personally I find the caster bias ridiculous, annoying, and game-ruining. Fanboys are extremely annoying too and they tend to wreck LR threads, which is why I always root for whoever plays vs Stephano. Emotions are fine I go crazy myself when MC wins, but this whole "Stephano moves a ling -> best player in the world" "Stephano would rip off DRG's limbs in a single move" and stuff is just overboard and annoying. Can't do anything about it though, too bad Thank you. I wish more people understood this. Pretty much sums up how I feel as well. Stephano is of course a good player, but the insane amount of hype and bias around him drives me fucking insane. and much like the guy you quoted I can't help but root against him just because the fanboys and bias are more annoying to me than balance whine and trolls. I have been a fan of professional SC since the early broodwar days. To me, extreme bias by casters etc is not only annoying, it is extremely disrespectful to the other player. Competition is fine. Fans are fine. Even a few jabs here and there are fine. But this overly exaggerated worship of Stephano simply because hes a non-korean who plays well is really embarrassing to me. Maybe people need someone like themselves (non-korean) to cheer for, and thats fine. But its getting really old by now.
Personally I think what was more embarrassing is the people who write off people at Starcraft just because they're not Korean.

He definitely, def., def. didnt have enough time to get out Raven/BC, jesus with air ups and the raven ups that shit takes forever...

I wish BCs/Ravens and Carriers were as accessible as Broodlords are. Feel so sorry for Terran in this matchup...

Can't do anything about it though, too bad Yes, yes, when you do it, it's great, when other people do it, it's the worst. Maybe just get over yourself. I agree. I can't understand these people who complain about "bias". I imagine that every time Stephano does something well, they cringe or something like that. It's a game and a cast, just take it for what it is. No I don't. Stephano's moves are sometimes amazing, I'm able to distinguish that, like I said, he's a really good player. I dislike caster bias because casters aren't supposed to be THAT biased, they ruin the watching experience unless you're a fanboy. While overboard fanboys ruin LRs because of this kind of discussion
Yeah that's how I feel. Nothing against Stephano, but it's annoying listening to the casters act like every move he does is the greatest, most genius thing ever when a lot of the time it's actually pretty basic, and they brush over a lot of his mistakes.
Sometimes it's like the opponents don't get any credit, it's just the Stephano show. Though admittedly they've not been -that- bad here.
Really it's just an outgrowth of Stephano being the only foreigner who can consistently beat Koreans, and a lot of the fanbase simply aren't interested in Koreans, but will cheer anyone who isn't Korean.

good thing Zerg requires no micro or we would have never heard about Losira

lol this post will get ignored.
The obvious counter is that he had to get that amount to deal with the broodlords....
but he didn't need THAT many.

Usually I don't complain about ZvT, but this even makes me arch my eyebrows. This club is starting to get pretty big... Losira had resources to remax, and the the Terran pushed out to go for the kill... with 27 vikings. He hadn't sac'ed any SCVs, so his 100 food army (not including the useless vikings) got creamed by ultra/ling/bling.
i guess u missed the part where he was sacking scv's like 3 or 4 times

lol could you imagine Zerg going from that 300 army push (with extra larvae) to a 400 army push (by just having a few extra macro hatches and queens late game)?

No, but it's useful to assess the result of one given engagement, at least as far as army goes. Other factors can be involved in deciding who is in a better position after a battle.

Late-game TvZ is pretty hilarious. I couldn't help but laugh when they thought Losira was dead with 9 ultralisks on the way.

Ts could really stop taking new gases once 3/3 is researched, after that, gas is mostly to replenish vikings/tanks/meds, which really dont require 8 or 10 gas or whatever.
I don't mean for them to dump gas.
I mean for them to make more orbitals with the extra mining they would get from those 5-10 SCV for more mules and expansions.
especially late game when zerg is busy defending or in the middle of the map and can't harass as easily

Well, that's what happens when one foreigner stands out above all the rest. People need someone to cheer for, and massive amounts of bias and fanboyism is annoying, but sadly inevitable. If we lived in some alternate universe in which the things Stephano has done was instead performed by some random Code B Korean who hasn't been in the GSL yet, it would be interesting to see if people would still try to call him the best/one of the best players in the world.
