It's a fun game but not to watch.

Yea, I have no problem with a game like tribes, it's refreshing to watch a live event at a high level, especially an fps. But they REALLY need to swap to the players first person view for flag runners and snipers ect, that would make it so much more intense and fun to watch. You only need that 3rd person view to let people understand where the team is about on the map.

Bullshit, utter bullshit. They just have gotten the time to program that in. The Unreal engine doesn't have it out of the box but with some scripting you definitly get there.

.... no, it's just that Hi-rez simply hasn't implemented first person spectating. First person spectating is really important for a game like this to capture the moments of importance through the eyes of the player.

cool to see the developer putting in some nice observer tools - speedy airborne camera etc.
for those looking for another nice competitive game, imo tribes is up there with sc2 as far as skill ceiling imo. very different game of course but when i played it for a few months i had that same "wow I have a long way to go" feeling I got when I started bw/sc2
edit: also it's free! give me some of what your smoking
  *you're
loved this game. exciting and dynamic game. i agree it's not as good a spectator sport as sc2 but i can't think of a closer 2nd to sc2's crown right now. developer just needs to polish the observer tools, or the obs need to work out ways that make spectating it more enjoyable.
for example it felt quite exhilirating being behind the capper as he swooped in from a height at a million miles an hour and then skiing down the side of the mountain, getting shot at etc.

Yaaawn. Oh well, Ill take this opportunity to actually PLAY some starcraft.

well, NA in NASL does not stand for Europe, and currently its like 11 AM in west coast. I think 1:30 AM is reasonable enough, and I'm from EU as well.

Ehh you can unlock everything by just playing, and you aren't at a massive disadvantage if you don't pay.

They still haven't patched in first person spectating into Tribes? It's depressing watching such a great concept wasted by devs unable to do anything competitive with it.

The spectating isn't the best but at least there is a lot of action and movement. I tried to watch Halo at MLG and the team was camping the whole time, almost nothing happening, players standing still, most boring game to watch.

You seriously have no idea what you are talking about. what part of first impressions and please explain it to me are you struggling with. if no one who plays this game is willing to explain it what am i supposed to take away beyond, oh a plane. There is quite alot of skill involved , because you are travelling so fast its hard to aim. Also, your travel speed affects your projectile speed so landing an airshot is close to impossible
Doesn't that kind of prove his point? Game is fast paced to hide how bad it is. And because it's so fast it takes "skill" *cough* luck *cough* to actually get a kill.
