I still think Jjakji is really good even though he's not had great results in a while
And It's impossible to deny how amazingly he played in the finals that he won.

iono about u guys but i still think sending TLO out would have a shot

I am sorry if it has been asked already, but anyone knows the song which has been played between the games? I only remember it being played before the match between hero and seed.

What a trainwreck of an event though. Good God.

No. Maybe, but not necessarily. Some really great games, though! He was the only one to stop taeja, and hes the current gsl champ, so yeah best player in the world ATM. the fact he is the reigning gsl champ and beat taeja..probably more accurate than you think.
Taeja is actually 1-1 today so it is a draw (Taeja got map choice the first game and Seed got map choice for second)

He beat a total of.....................2 Koreans on an online tournament in IPL Champions.

It is pretty clear that he doesn't perform anywhere near as well without long preparation periods.

No, the moral of the story is to sign more Korean for Liquid.

Well he didnt play as awful as he usually does imo. He got a pretty decent shot in the first game vs taeja

TLDR of today: commercial screen dead sound dead commercial Round 1: Seed vs Taeja - Taeja wins Round 2: Seed vs Taeja - Seed wins, screams, IM wins TAC.

Loser's bracket To elaborate slightly, it's because Liquid was the loser's bracket winner in a Double Elimination tournament, and IM hasn't lost a match yet, whereas, Liquid had, therefore, Liquid needed to win 1 Bo9 to reset it for the Grand Finals. Stupid format, imho. Ummm... yes, that's a pretty dumb format. Why is that dumb? Liquid has already lost a series, IM hadn't Past series should have no relevance in the next upcoming series or the finals. In major sports, all that happens is you get 1 extra home court game or something that really doesn't make much of a difference, what if every sport had 2 grand finals because one team had a near undefeated run and the other didn't? it wouldnt be accepted. Most sports don't have a double elimination bracket. Your analogy fails. This has been the standard in essentially every double elim. tournament ever. It's either this or extended series. Guess which one is better. Ah I see. Worth pointing out that the only double elim tournament that I know of that didn't have two bo5s (or some kind of advantage for the WB player) was the MSL in BW. wcs? WCS definitely has two bo3s for the LB player Another important points is that almost all DE tournaments opting out of DE finals do it for practical reasons, usually time constraints (never having more than 1 match per day is the norm for many sports).

Good games, deserved winners, brilliant Taeja/Seed.
Terrible production including awful sound, periodic blackouts, cheap set, far far too much downtime/ads and an awful award ceremony, it reminded me of a prize ceremony in a local hall after winning a chess match - very amateurish
Haha exactly what i thought

I honestly want to drop hammerfists on whoever decided to play Hero last. And it's not like they only did this today! They always put out Hero late! I'm a huge fan of Hero, so I always want him to play early because it gives him the best chance to win the most games. So that's one reason I want him to be a starter.
But also, he's famously nervous. So why not let him play second? No pressure, sick micro, gutsy decisions. Yeesh.

Yeah, problem is different people have different interpretations of 'right now'. Of course, some people feel it is based on 1month, some think 2, some think 4 months, etc. Also, it doesn't help that these players play in different tournaments. Unlike say a league where you can see which teams has the best record in the past month, it is hard to tell by just looking at the records.
