Even outdid Thorzain going 13 - 4 in IPL TAC 1 to reset the finals vs IM, in fact eerily similar, a Terran leading his team vs IM all killing in the first series but not able to win it in the final series.

He does shit that Sheth and Ret notoriously don't do, as far as exectution and positioning, which could've made all the difference in the games where Sheth--but especially Ret--lost near-cringeworthingly. Face makes a great point about Hero's nerves. Why put all that shit on his shoulders at 11:59? Putting him out first in the second bo9 would've been smarter, or second after a TLO or something. Almost felt like the line ups were too uninspired in an overly safe way. Couldn't expect Taeja to take everything in the manner that it seemed Nazgul was expecting him to. This could've been an even bigger day for Liquid.

This could've been an even bigger day for Liquid. When do you send out TLO? I guess you could say he could have went out early in place of Sheth or Ret, but are you really going to say he'd do any better than them? And Hero, when do you put him out? If they throw him out any time prior to First coming out, than he's going to be sniped and taken out with only a single win at best. If Taeja had beaten Seed, than lost to professor Tea or Yoda or whatever, Liquid may have looked like geniuses saving Hero for last. If they had thrown Hero out early, than he lost to a protoss and than Taeja lost to Seed any ways, they are in the same position. The only questionable decision made the whole series, in my opinion, was Ret going out on Ohana. I don't know if they wanted to save a particular map later on, but it seems really bad to send him out on that map versus a protoss.

Almost felt like the line ups were too uninspired in an overly safe way. Couldn't expect Taeja to take everything in the manner that it seemed Nazgul was expecting him to. This could've been an even bigger day for Liquid. I'm not Nagul/Bumblebee, but I'm going to give my input. Round 1: Opener - Ret Makes most sense to open with Ret. Ret is consistent in putting up results. Not FANTASTIC results but he puts up results. He's also very capable of grabbing a victory or two for TL. In GSTL, they opened up with Zenio both times, and although Zenio grabbed a victory for his team, it's best to save all three of your Korean players for the first round since IM is a ridiculous opponent. 2nd player - TaeJa TaeJa's momentum for IPL TAC is ridiculously insane. Liquid probably wanted TaeJa to grab them a lot of kills. But most important of all, Liquid wanted IM to send out snipers so they they could snipe the snipers. TaeJa getting an all kill however, probably put a grin on everyone's faces. Round 2: Opener - Sheth Yet another consistent player on Liquid's roster. He's like Ret. He's very capable of grabbing victories for TL and has put up results. 2nd player - Zenio So now Zenio comes out. To be quite honest, this was probably where HerO should've came out. He IS known for being Liquid's PvZ sniper so it would've made the most sense. But Liquid probably wanted to save HerO for after Zenio had lost. After all, it's not good if HerO gets sniped early. But Zenio won, which is good for TL, but also bad for TL since IM responded with Protosses. And HerO is NOT known for his PvP. 3rd player - Ret Ret's a good choice. Again, very capable player. Can't send out HerO, it's still a PvP. Unfortunately, Ret fell short. 4th player - TaeJa And now Liquid has a tough choice. Do you send out HerO against First? Nope, it's a PvP. True, TaeJa probably could have used more rest but Liquid needed victories. They need the momentum back on their side so they send out TaeJa. Now Liquid can only pray that TaeJa grabs multiple victories and that IM tries to snipe TaeJa so that they can snipe the sniper. Unfortunately for Liquid, IM responded with Protosses. So what happens? Liquid has no choice but to use HerO. TLO/HayprO/NonY can't do it. They're not good enough to handle Seed AND another IM player. Mainly because none of these guys have put up any results in Korea. TLO has made very little, HayprO and NonY have put up none. So, yes, you stick to your gut feeling and you send out HerO. HerO, who has made consistent results in foreign tournaments and made Ro4 of GSL for 2012 Season 1. All in all, sending out HerO would have been wiser since you mentioned nerves, but Liquid just never had the opportunity to. But like I said, I'm not TL's managers, this is just what I think

@Seeker: exactly, regarding the zenio thing. Hero should've been played in either sheth's, ret's, or zenio's stead. Most likely when there was a zerg out for IM. and I woul'dve liked to see TLO instead of Ret or sheth, but that's just personal prerference.
