MKP when cornered, flipping coins like a beast. Double proxy rax into triple expand.. You could say symbol was gambling as well but to be honest MKP goes for CC first so often it's not even as huge of a risk.

By that same logic, Symbol goes for a 15 hatch so often that a proxy 2 rax isn't a huge risk either. Symbol was flipping coins just as much as MKP that game.

(Not that its a bad thing)

zigerobot op!

Yes but there is a difference in taking a calculated risk and constantly flipping coins. MKP has been known for being a greedy player, hell there was a season where he just let lings run by his wall like 5 games in a row to get knocked into code A. There is a reason why he got all-in'd in both series.

hype seems very justified.. symbol doesn't seem "flukey" and judging by his demeanor after mkp game 1, being godlike seems like just another day at the office.

TvZ with two amazing players always produces interesting games. God damn but MKP vs Symbol could become a nice rivalry in the future.

TvZ easily produces the best games and rivalries imo: MKP/DRG, MMA/DRG, Jjajki/Leenock, Nestea/sC, Polt/Stephano, and of course Symbol/anyterranplayer

Oh, that's actually so true. You just blew my mind! I can barely think of any good rivalries with PvX :p

Poor Toss race. So boring, hehe.

Hero Puma, MC Puma?

HuK Nani kinda? they used to meet in MLG's a lot.

PartinG/MKP

Huk/Idra, before Huk joined EG.

Yes and Symbol played final in 2 major tournaments.

IronSquid and MLG winter arena 2.

What fucking game are you watching?!

I just watched MKP and Symbol posturing and skirmishing lightly across the map for the past 20 minutes until they realized they can't attack into each other, then they turtle and the real attack only started at the 25th minute mark.

That's how high level works...people have fantastic defensive abilities, and their opponent decides to not throw units to attempt to break it

1. No that's now how high level works, that's just stupid. The way the game is supposed to work is that people have options to attack each other from beginning to end, with action happening all the time all across the map, all the time, and the best player is the one that can keep up with the multi-tasking to defend or attack for the entirety of the game.

2. I'd rather have a short but action packed 15 minute game then a 35 minute game consisting of 75% turtle and 25% action.

3. Jesus christ, you've seen so many of these stupid games that you've forgotten what true SC2 is supposed to be like?
Do you even remember DRG vs MMA Game 7 of Blizzcup 2011?

Right...lets prove how stupid you are

1. Guess what. That's how high level works. A good player knows when he can attack and when he can't. A good player doesn't throw away units when he doesn't need to/can't afford to. That's what they both did. They could have easily attacked at any point, but they both chose not to because it did not favour them. Doing anything else is how July and FruitDealer plays...and they lose badly. Incredible enough, the best player is the one who makes the correct decisions, not just multitasking...

2. Good for you. I prefer not seeing someone think "welp it's time to attack" and just do it without thinking it through

3. Wow....that game was exciting but there were hundreds of mistakes between the two players. true SC2 isn't about making mistakes....

So, I'm stupid for remembering what real SC2 used to be like?

Sigh, you're hopeless, you forgot what true excitement is, if you think this bastardization of SC2 is how its actually supposed to be played, and worst if you think its actually fun to watch I have no idea what to say.

What happened to the epic days of DRG vs MMA, where not only did they have to make the correct decisions but they had to do it while microing and macroing and fighting each other all the time across the maps.

Thank god the other maps like Ohana, Daybreak and Cloud Kingdom still allow for some epic back and forth games, not just boring turtle and macro up on 5 base play of which I've seen tons of lately.

Anyway, looking forward to Yughio vs PartinG, he has definitely proven himself in TvZ and impressed, now time to see how his ZvP is like.

Unlike Parting "hype" where he crushes Terrans face left and right until he got 0-3ed by DRG.

Symbol looks very strong in ZvT and ZvP ESPECIALLY GOOD in ZvZ.
Play your best

Love this as TSL is my favourite Korean Team but now that they have their new Up and Coming Player Symbol... I wonder which team he will join.

Get off your high horse. The only way the game is supposed to be played is the way that wins the most games.
