Mana vs Dimaga is a pretty epic finals anyway. Tons of history between the players. Mana being back in the finals of the tournament that arguably was his breakthrough into the SC2 scene (Mana vs Naama finals anyone?). And hey, the guy couldn't ask for a better kick off on his full time pro career. :D
People complaining about level of play are just pissed their favourites lost. The games thusfar have been pretty damn good. The things that are holding DH back is the lack of vision of the players (which makes it feel like an online tournament) and the somewhat dodgy format and scheduling. Other then that, pretty good event.

If Dota 2 becomes a major esports, I'd be fine with that. hmmm the problem with tobi is his knowledge isnt the best, casting big team fights is fucking hard, and he does it fucking well, but his game knowledge/anaylsis is sub par, if he gets paired with a very good analysis caster its great, but for me i prefer lumi/nebu1a casting dota

Are they actually gonna show the DOTA2 finals or just explain the game? LOL. Those games better go fast as hell or SCII will be delayed allot.

Oh and I'm a complete noob, so I can't tell how much knowledge he really has^^

I dont understand why some people doesnt want to watch the final.

Annoying as hell, first a very long pause then another game (Dota) steal time for the big sc2 event.
Boring that when this big event is too late even if it is sent from my own country, goodnight.

Yet DoTA is watched by millions of Chinese and LoL has triple the viewers SC2 usually has. What does mainstream mean anyway in this context? I think the games are already as mainstream as it gets with PC gaming. A big part of the playerbase watches the tournaments too, so thats where they get their huge viewer numbers.
That's about as big as e-sports get, right?

Just like LoL, right? You think SC2 is easy to follow for people that don't play it? -________________________- Well it's gonna be a whole lot easier then MOBA style games, i can tell you that for a fact.
Not at all ;\
MOBA gameplay is relatively simple compared to SC2. You kill enemy heroes/creeps and the endgoal is to kill the enemy throne. The map is always the same, it's always 5v5, starting locations and direction of attack never changes. etc. The most confusing part is that they don't use homogenized colors and there are sooooo many heros/spells/abilities to learn
SC2 on the other hand is almost completely foreign to someone who has never played an RTS game and the strategy involved is much less intuitive imo.
That said, having played both games a lot, I'd prefer to watch SC2 over DOTA, as I said, the strategy and mind games are more intense. And it takes a while and some familiarity with the game for people to recognize how mechanically adroit and impressive SC pros are.
IMO this is a huge reason why MOBAs have been killing RTS lately, they are much more intuitive and the simpler gameplay is easier to pick up on as a player and a spectator.

LoL ist way slower and not that difficult to understand. I've no trouble at all to understand what they doing in LoL even if I don't now any skills oder Items and just played sometimes a year ago. Therefor the game is incredibly boring to watch, the highest moment of feelings comes when one player does a nearly smart move. -.-

Well, drafting is a game in itself.
