You can lose once near the finals and still get a chance for Grand Finals? That was the winners bracket final. It's a double elimination tournament, so the players in winners bracket haven't lost a series yet. Once you lose a series, you drop into losers bracket and continue playing until you lose another series, at this point your tournament life is at an end.

MLG is dual elimination. What you've just watched was the Winners Finals. The winner of that gets a pass to the Grand Finals. The loser has to play someone who came all the way from the Losers bracket. The winner of that will play in the Grand Finals.

Bye bye Sase, you have had an impressive run though.
I have to admit that I was pretty angry because SaSe won vs Socke, and I realy wanted Socke to become first in his group. But now after this impressive run there is no way to hate SaSe. ^^

It's double elimination so you need to lose twice to be knocked out. There's a winner's bracket and a loser's bracket.

It's double elimination!

Are they gonna give us replays from the KeSPA tournament?

The people whining about Sase are blowing my mind.

You can lose once near the finals and still get a chance for Grand Finals? MLG is double elimination, and neither DRG nor MKP had lost a match until that round, so now DRG is the only undefeated player, and the other five (including MKP) are fighting to win the loser's bracket.

I really don't know how can anyone cheer for this. I know it's a foreigner pride, or some shit, but it's just sad...
it's the anti-ESPORTS Allins are a part of the game and they have been for forever. A variety of strategies make this game exciting. Allins are part of the game yes, I have no problem with a timed allin
cannon-ruch, however, is pretty much the lowest form of play, right next to 6pool. It has no place in such a big tournament what is it next time? probe-rush Stephano?
|
No idea who I want to win here. All I know is I want either Sase or Stephano to take the whole thing.

This is one of the reasons why the Korean pros seem so far ahead of foreigners, because they take risks like this to beat opponents. That's why MVP beat Parting, he knew that if he let Parting macro up he'd get squashed, so he threw him off with rushes and weird timings. If Polt was so greedy he couldn't stop a cannon rush in the match where it's at it's weakest then he deserved to lose the shit out of that game. It's not really bashing, it's just stupid that a player that clearly has better mechanics ,macro, decision making, and EPM can lose to a cheesy strategy used by people in gold league.. If that's the case, then he shouldn't do his 14cc build every time. SaSe's decision making in that match was way better than Polt's. He tried to FFE and then saw what Polt was doing and took advantage of it. Polt did basically the greediest opening possible in that match - SaSe SHOULD take advantage of that - otherwise he's just giving Polt the lead. Polt lost that game because of poor strategizing on his part, not because SaSe's a cheesy all-in noob, which is what many people are portraying him as. And yeah, if I were a big Polt fan, I'd be bummed cause it's a shitty way to go out, but by no means is it's SaSe's fault for taking advantage in that situation. Exactly, Flash cheeses Bisu, he gets worshipped. Sase cheeses Polt, he gets burned at the stake.
Double standards TL, not cool.

I disagree. Watching MKP come back and beat DRG will be awesome.

If he's as good as you say he'd have no problem beating a gold league strategy.

Even if he counted incorrectly, there are still equal amounts of each race in the top6 which isn't much to be butthurt over.
