Props to Alicia and SaSe. I'm pretty sure everyone expected MKP, DRG, and Stephano to make it deep. PuMa isn't much of a surprise either - the guy has plenty of success in foreign tournaments. Alicia and SaSe were pretty unexpected to me though. Would have more expected two of Alive/MC/Polt/Symbol instead.

Somehow DRG always looks like he just was nearby by accident, but has to leave soon to continue to tour the world. There´s something about this guy that looks so amazingly effortless everytime. What a great laid back attitude he has.

DRG MKP seriously are the Flash Jaedong of sc2..... we may c them again in the finals.....

It's only a rivalry when the games are even, there was no rivalry between MVP and MKP, there's no rivalry between DRG and MKP anymore.

What are you even talking about LOL.

MKP to rape DRG in the finals where it matters

Disgusting in this context is positive. You know like how people say something is "sick!"?

Thanks for clarifying. For one second, I thought I would have to give Husky my eternal hatred.

People are seriously bashing SaSe for that? What he did took absolute balls of steel. He cannon rushed one of the best terrans in the world in the elimination game. And it was additionally brilliant because he knows Polt goes for that greedy opener over and over again.

This is one of the reasons why the Korean pros seem so far ahead of foreigners, because they take risks like this to beat opponents. That's why MVP beat Parting, he knew that if he let Parting macro up he'd get squashed, so he threw him off with rushes and weird timings. If Polt was so greedy he couldn't stop a cannon rush in the match where it's at it's weakest then he deserved to lose the shit out of that game.

It's not really bashing, it's just stupid that a player that clearly has better mechanics ,macro, decision making, and EPM can lose to a cheesy strategy used by people in gold league..

If that's the case, then he shouldn't do his 14cc build every time. SaSe's decision making in that match was way better than Polt's. He tried to FFE and then saw what Polt was doing and took advantage of it. Polt did basically the greediest opening possible in that match - SaSe SHOULD take advantage of that - otherwise he's just giving Polt the lead. Polt lost that game because of poor strategizing on his part, not because SaSe's a cheesy all-in noob, which is what many people are portraying him as.

And yeah, if I were a big Polt fan, I'd be bummed cause it's a shitty way to go out, but by no means is it's SaSe's fault for taking advantage in that situation.

I hope we don't see MKP vs DRG rematch in the grand final.. extended series would kill the thing.

this was the winner bracket finals, the loser of this goes straight to the loser bracket finals, the winner from the loser and the winner bracket finals compete in the grand finals.
Standard.

why are people complaining about a reactionary cheese versus a 14cc....

Because when a Terran does a reactionary cheese against zerg/toss, the thread lights up with insults. Puma is a good example of a player people love to hate on because he uses smart all-ins or cheeses. I think half the comments are making fun of that, and the other half are just people whining. When people finally learn that cheese is a part of the game here to stay, and it's a part that makes the game more exciting, these types of threads will be much better off.

Umm, no one would bet on that because it's impossible to have 22 players in the top 6?

Someone is bad at English.... 20 koreans in the tournament and 2 of the foreigners made it to top 6. Easier?

you're statement was actually pretty ambiguous

Double elimination. Everyone gets two lives basically.

The deeper you get, the easier it is to crawl back up.

The difference between what DRG did and what Zergs used to do with mutas is that his army was a couple of mutas and a lot of ling baneling, while what Zergs used to do was build a lot of mutas and throw lings and banelings in to keep mutas alive. The muta strategy fell out of style, but this strategy is fine when your opponent doesn't build tanks.
