It's the only way to make a fair double elim format. Everyone can lose a series without getting eliminated, and this surely includes DRG who went through the entire upper bracket undefeated. In a single elim he would have already won, so it's only fair that he has an advantage in the finals, in that he too can essentially lose a series in the extended series without getting elimintaed. It's the only way to make terms even for everyone in a double elim. | ||
