Thanks for pointing out the obvious about someone still practicing BW for an OSL. We also get people who go 'LOL FLASH IS AVERAGE' when his opponent is Effort.

He was like the time when DongRaeGu first came out (a whole lot better though). Monster macro, good sense of what's going on, but very late transitions. He maxed out on 12th minute with muta/bane/ling, hive only started at 18?

Impossible to say for sure without seeing him play against a known SC2 player - but based on that game he looked like he could be at Code S level.

The combination of a low tank count and being allowed to free macro made that look easier than it probably should have been.

Any Code A level Z can win if you get 3 base uncontested. not really, antiga is the perfect map to defend that bust from. Mvp does it ALL the time. he has like a 90% winrate on that map without harassing the zerg much early game.

Despite his lack of tank production he held that first attack marvelously. It wasn't much of a hold - Effort withdrew after using up his banelings, isntead of sticking around and slowly losing his other units to reinforcements. He saved all of his mutas and many zerglings, so he had banelings morphing for the second wave much more quickly. Each time he attacked his supply lead was 25-30 bigger than before. which was an awesome move by effort btw - most players (notably julyzerg) would overcommit on the first attack and lose a ton more units.

They just need a little more experience but it was a fun game It's quite clear that the BW pros have demonstrated that their mechanics and macro/micro ability is unbelievable! But they have also shown that their decision making and strategy choice is subpar. This is completely understandable as that comes with experience. It's far easier to learn strategy than it is to reach the level of mechanics that they possess

I don't believe that effort would be able to qualify for code A. he's good but if he played vs someone who put on pressure and didn't let him drone and expand freely he would have a much harder time.
