People saying PvP is a terrible MU are struck very hard by the hyperbole train. It's fast paced, micro intensive, and every decision you make can win you the game or gets shat on in an instant. It's glorious to behold.
Still nothing compared to ling/bling wars, if what you described is what you find glorious.
I love Z v Z when it's low-econ ling-bling, drone-sniping type fights. So back and forth, so intense. Better than mass roaches / infestor A-click fights....
Mutas in Z v Z also make things interesting with roaches base-trading etc.

That was mvp having 2 terrible engagements and overmaking vikiings. Also he put 0 pressure on parting, this was pretty much like leaving zerg alone and let them get 15 min brood/infestor while you overmake marauder.
My dear protoss:

Yeh ZvZ is great except when both sides go roaches, then its an uninteresting snore fest.

He had the most disappointing display of skill of all the 32 codeS players, and he made it to the finals thanks to a train of allins.
If STC does it, he's called theSTCheese and blamed by everyone, if MVP does it, "OH WELL ITS HIS WRISTS" "GAME GENIE OMFG BEST GOGO 4TH GSL" "OMG DAT PERFECT TIMING"

The roach/infestor amoving crap is the ugliest thing to watch in this game imo, just horribly boring. Agree with the rest as well, ling/bling is fun for sure!
Too bad for HerO but Squirtle is just technically playing immaculately here. 3-0 incoming, the skill gap is just way too large.
see this is why i hate squirtle fanboys
u seem to underestimate his skills but hero's gonna make a comeback for this.
lets c about it.
HerO weakest match-up is PvP. Squirtle have the best PvP now freaking 76% winrate. HerO had the BO advantage(Squirtle even lost several stalkers) and i thought Hero won but he got outmicroed by Squirtle.
Squirtle PvP is better than Hero PvP. I don't see him coming back from a 2-0 deficit.

That was an ordinary strategy in PVP and I encountered that countless times on the ladder. Normally you are dealing with one warp prism coming from behind the mineral line and the main army will attack up front. A couple of good forcefields would counter this strategy perfectly, not to mention that Hero hectically mis-operated the strategy by sending the warp prism up front.
It is good play in that particular situation cos Squirtle already lost 4-5 stalkers meaning the WP at the back is really going to be a pain.
But... he brought it to the front and lost it ferrying units up.
I bet its cos he felt he killed so many units and had the pylon it would be ok to go from the front and crush the army of Squirtle. But the FFs were decent from squirtle and the sentries were able to shoot the whole time at the prism. which helps alot...
