Right, and I'm saying MKP would of been the one that would of played better if Taeja was the one that got crushed by Parting instead. Taeja did get crushed in the first game. That didn't mean he crumbled in the next though. He just kept his cool and played great. MKP is an awesome player, but if can't even lose a single Bo3 without colapsing completely he'll probably never win the GSL.
It almost seems like winning the losers match is better than losing the winners match. When you are in the winners finals you expect to advance, and once you are playing the last bo3 you realize that it might be slipping from your graps. When you are in the losers match you lower your expectations and winning that makes you realize that you can actually get through. Taeja's mindset going into the last set was infinitely better than MKP's. Also, don't forget it wasn't a random bo3 that MKP lost. He lost against Parting in a close series, whom he has history with. Don't act like there weren't special circumstances at play here.

MKP's reckless play style always gets punished more by terrans than anyone else.

Nah. Taeja would destroy Parting imo

LOL epic frontpage writeup on Taeja incoming!!

Those of you who are saying that MKPs mindset was "crushed" after the games vs parting, did you miss the fact that MKP "crushed" Taeja in their first match? Wouldnt Taejas mindset be very bad going up in the final match against MKP again?
Taeja was simply mentally stronger and played better.

i find it pretty likely that maru is going to take second place (to either MC or squirtle). He only has to practice one matchup and he is definitely an unpredictable opponant. MC is probably slightly tilted after his trip back from USA so he might have a good chance to take the first game against him.

I think the royal road is pretty much the path and achievement of a major tournament (e.g. For SC2 it would be GSL, for SC its OSL and MSL?)
Edit: Okay it's winning on your first appearance.

No one is saying there wasn't "special circumstances", just that was then, and this is now. That match should have no bearing over MKP's play against Taeja, but it did. That means MKP did not deserve to win that match because he was so easily affected vs Parting.
There is no excuses to be made for MKP. He played badly and Taeja deserved that win.

I would absolutely laugh my ass off if Maru gets 2nd place in group D and parting gets to play another terran. Then MVP wins vs Naniwa and he gets ANOTHER terran. But to answer your question, all the protoss in group D can beat him in a PvP because... it's PvP. So if he gets one of them which is pretty likely, he might be in trouble.
GO HERO.

Taeja was simply mentally stronger and played better. MKP has a tendency to bitch out and choke in the clutch though, signficantly more than Taeja does. Although we should remember, that Taeja chokes like a mofo too. So I don't even know anymore...

the way taeja acts seems like he's playing just to see how he can do. MKP's play is really passionate and emotional because he's so determined and with so much momentum wants to win this season. taeja is sort of like "wait really holy shit!"

Not to mention that Taeja was facing the very player that he lost to, which makes it worse for him IMO. Glad to see that he kept a level head, though.

Well, aren't you a very sensationalistic person? If I was in MKP's shoes I would be thinking, "Hmm I just got some rest and I just smashed this nerd in our first bo3. Should be EZPZ!" MKP has experience in GSL finals multiple times, he shouldn't be tilted that easy. I think everyone is just reading too far into things because their player didn't win.
