With NaNiwa, PartinG, and HerO already through, and a guarantee of at least one more Protoss to boot (likely including MC), we've got a pretty damn good shot at a Protoss champ.

Also you have Parting vs. MC in their back-and-forth feud for the Protoss presidency.
Every player has a story. Unfortunately people ignore some in favour of others.
I think you were the one who showed me that with your first 'write-up' for the Ro8 super tournament. That was a writeup of legends thanks to TheBestFoU =P
Basically there's a lot of great stories in the bracket so far. Supernova is probably the least interesting for headlines at the moment, but when that kid's hot he's smoking.
Personally I'd love for MVP to win, I think he's the only player I'm a super-fan of left. But I'll be happy if Naniwa, Hero, Taeja, Parting, Supernova, Group D 1st and Group D 2nd win =D

I'll look out for Maru as well I guess. I feel like if Supernova or squirtle or someone like that wins this GSL, it's just be called a write off.
If anything I guess MC winning would be the most interesting. Taking back the crown that he doesn't necessarily deserve yet.

Yeah, winning those matches against STC and MKP and his face is all "OMG DID YOU SEE THAT AWESOME!"
It's a good mentality to have. Taking yourself too seriously can cause yourself to fuck up. Not to say that Taeja doesn't take things seriously; his skill clearly shows that he practices a ton, but his attitude when he's actually in the booth seems to be one in which he doesn't put too much stress on himself. He usually looks at peace and easygoing.

I'm happy to see taeja beat mkp, but it doesn't feel as good with taeja beating on mkp in less than top form. Hoping to see mkp back in code s next season and in top form.

Yeah, MVP's last stand is a great storyline. I'm rooting for MVP all the way until he meets HerO, should it happen.

You have to watch the VODs to really appreciate it.

Rooting for Liquid and MC all the way! And maybe Parting.

Oh damn, if Hero beats supernova and Taeja beats whoever gets first in group D, then it will be a TL ace match o.o

I have no idea what a royal road is...
Royal Roader is one who wins at his first OSL qualification. I guess Code S is the SC2 version of OSL so it's a good storyline. But I think the whole HerO of TL thing, EG.PuMa rivalry are even better. If anyone from HerO, TaeJa and NaNi win I'll be happy.

I wonder whether we'll see players start to eschew travelling to MLG's and stuff like that when they're still in the GSL.
I don't think it was the prime cause of MKP's collapse but I do think being tired and somewhat jetlagged after his NY trip may have been part of the reason why he fell apart quite so quickly.

NaNiwa's PvP is excellent so if he can get past MvP He has a decent shot! espesially since no Zergs :D

......you DO realize Parting was also at MLG, meaning that he didn't have a jetlag/sleep advantage.... no Parting beat MKP fair and square
