herO has one of the best storylines ever.
you should root for him

What's Hero's Storyline?

Huk's successor outshines him?

Royal road man...

not liking the possibility of Taeja v HerO though... Taeja does seem to have HerO's number when i watch HerO's stream...

Marineking beats Taeja comfortably in the first two games when Taeja is playing really well.

Taeja beat Marineking comfortably when Marineking is playing terribly.

I don't follow your logic?

The mental aspect of the game is just as important. Clearly, tilting so easily makes you a weaker player on the whole. If its a weakness he can't avoid, its a weakness.

Not to say I'm not an mkp fan but its true.

I agree wholeheartedly. MKP played splendidly all the way until the 3rd match against Parting. After that he completely (and I mean COMPLETELY) fell apart.

MKP could easily be the best player in the world if he hardened his focus.

Taeja would be on tilt too after having to play the best TvPer in the world

bullshit, its not about the better player its about who is playing better during the match.

Right, and I'm saying MKP would of been the one that would of played better if Taeja was the one that got crushed by Parting instead.

Stop assuming that Taeja and MKP have the exact same mentalities. -_-

Right, even if Taeja doesn't go on tilt after losing to Parting, then they would both be even, and we saw what happened in the first series when they are even mindset. I'm not saying the better player of the last series didn't win, Taeja played better there and he deserved it, I'm just saying the better player overall didn't get through the group.

You guys forget that MKP has made it to plenty of GSL finals and lost? If his mentality gets crushed that easily in a Ro16 he doesn't deserve to move on.

Edit: In other words quit making excuses.

Anyone that thinks Taeja is the better player must have missed the first series, you know the one before Parting crushed his soul.

I think being mentally strong so you can perform cold wise decision making, contributes to a good player.

Stuff about a 'soul being crushed'.. Christ, its the pinnacle of sc2-esports, the only terms before the finals are win or lose.

Yeah, people seem to be ignoring factoring in mental strength into their analysis of a player's abilities. Mental toughness IS a huge part of being a good player. You can't judge a player solely on his play when he's playing his best. You have to judge a player by consistency and mentality.

I think he'll have a tough time in PvPs in general. Any of the Group D Toss have a chance

MKP has always had weak TvT past the early-mid game from what I remember.

That wasn't really weak TvT showing. It was impatience, bad decision making from simply losing a BO3 to Parting. He had a fantastic TvT showing against Taeja in the first series.

God how I love these comments about "best player".

Im sorry if I provoked you, wasn't my intention. Trying to convey that the dominating player the last month or two is now out and this GSL now is incredibly exciting.

Nooooooo, I slept past almost the entire day of games, except for the last MKP vs Taeja game.

I guess I'll have to catch up on the vods of that MKP vs Parting series.

I refuse to acknowledge someone royal roading after failing repeatedly in Code A.

Just doesn't seem right.

Should be you advance Code A in one season and then win Code S imo.

Yeah sadly i dont think hes going to make it through the protoss' of the other groups. He is kind of a one trick player (hes trick being obliterating terrans).

I could honestly see naniwa doing it. He has really great decision making in PvP, especially with time to prepare for a given matchup. The real question is if he will get through MVP
