i gotta admit, that map looks pretty imbalanced if you play macro style like that.

It's an awful map for Terran.

Genuine question: Why is that a bad terran map?

It's not really- but one could argue that it's so big and so open that terran has a hard time expanding and attacking and defending all at once.

Artosis was incorrect there, none of july's banes hit the thor. They walked next to it and circled it so I can see why he misperceived it, but July did a really superb job of controlling his army in that fight.
say you were born into a jungle indian tribe where food was scarce...would you run around from teepee to teepee stealing meat scraps after a day lazying around doing nothing except warming urself by a fire that you didn't even make yourself? -rekrul

MVP too passive in that game

What else can you be on that map, it's so freaking long that it takes years for units to move across unless you're zerg on creep :p

This seems to be the new style of TvZ, being rather passive, only going out to deny creep tumors from time to time and starting the battles only when approaching 200 supply (which a good terran can easily reach before the 15minute mark if he doesn't lose too much stuff).
I think it's a good style of TvZ because the scariest thing about Zerg is Hive-tech and the maxed push hits just before Hive-tech comes into play and therefore if actually hits when Zerg is the weakest. Taeja is really good with that style as well, and we see it from MvP right now. July can't get Broodlords out and needs to deal with a decently upgraded maxed terran army with ling-bling-infestor-muta.
In this game it came down to the muta harass and some misses in MvPs building placements, losing the upgrade and too many scvs, delaying his push for half a minute or maybe a minute.
Also very nice army control by July, having the banelings split up and some nice fungals.
Just ahead of time, know your addiction's not a crime. It's just a smaller part of who you want to become in the end.

July winning is quite a sight to behold. July losing is more like watching a trainwreck.

It's very big and there's multiple paths for run bys and flanks.

3 extractor bases are fun ^.^ , but nice pick from July. And not a good sim city by mvp atleast against mutas, probably thought banelings would hit him.

I want to see July do the same allin Nestea did on entombed valley vs mvp:
2bases w/ a macro hatch, ~12 mutas, and an absolute ton of ling/bane, hitting just before the 3rd cc eco advantage kicks in.
Such a potent allin vs 3cc.

It's not that easy to max out before 15 minutes as Terran :D
