This is not the place to talk about LoL viewership.

This is also not a place to caster bash/balance whine/flame, etc.

Please don't argue about how many views LoL has, or which game is better, or we will be upset.
(added page 174)

Also, lay off Scarlett please. (added page 227)

Taeja was their last hope for making into pool play and he fell one round short.

Why are Koreans so good. If you look at the open bracket, all foreigners fall to the koreans in the open bracket
exception of few(Huk,Sase,Illusion beating Ryung but all 3 drop out later)

Honestly,Idra and Whitera are only there in the pool play due to seeding because they won IPL before.
If you put them through the open bracket, I doubt they will fare well.

The only exception is Stephano. This may sound biased but he won UK qualifier so like the people above stated. He is legit.
Props to Huk though for almost making out of the open bracket.
Play your best

Yes, all eliminated. I really wonder why they flew their entire roster out for this, the majority of it didn't have a prayer of making it out of the open bracket.

God damnit, just checked the results from open bracket. Both HuK and SaSe were sooo close to making it, but barely didn't :S

It's Stephano vs Korea now.

IPL3 is also stephano vs korea

but i wish korean butch stephano out of the tournament
i hate his bracket luck :p

Which bracket luck?
Curious is a top 4 zerg worldwide, JYP is not really good but still no pushover, MarineKing is the (current at least :D) best TvZ in the world and White-Ra was a freewin for Stephano but still.

I don't think that he can beat Curious but it's ZvZ so who knows.

Did you watch the Stephano White-Ra matches ? White-Ra had those games until 2 very questionable decisions.

White-Ra also more or less had the MKP series as well, before going with some very questionable decisions.

To be honest, the amount of Koreans in IPL4 is probably the highest of any foreign tournament ever, and they're all signed pros while many of the foreigners seem to be unsigned and relatively unknown (we still saw some breakthroughs here).

Of course the Korean scene got a broader talent pool, and overall better players, but I see no reason to lose hope in the foreign scene and think of it as less legit just because of this event.

..meanwhile in Norway and Denmark you've got the top of the EU scene (with some exceptions) duking it out. The foreign scene is spread really thin due to tons of great events being scheduled in the worst possible way.

Every foreigner at IPL4 is a big name besides Scarlett... the biggest names even.

And I've seen a list of players at these EU events this weekend and I promise not a single one stood a chance at making it into Pool Play. You either have to be crazy or not watch a whole lot of Starcraft (specifically the GSL and Korean play in general) to think that the foreign scene is even CLOSE to the Korean scene at this point.

I'm not saying it's close, I'm saying there's no point in losing hope in it since it can still produce legit contenders.

Perhaps I'm ignorant and clueless about the NA talent pool, if so please do enlighten me, but the first rounds of the open bracket in IPL4 contained a ton of names I've never heard of.

Like these: http://wiki.teamliquid.net/starcraft2/IGN_ProLeague_Season_4/Open_Bracket

*edit*
What names are the biggest is really debatable, but Naniwa, Kas, Thorzain, Titan, Snute, Nerchio, Socke, Mana etc. are names as big as any foreign player at IPL4 (except for Stephano/HuK).

You're still missing a lot of foreigners who could have a chance on IPL

Naniwa, Thorzain, maybe Grubby, Morrow and Happy could have taken a match vs some koreans

Other than that, it's pretty much the top foreigners.

Holy shit! Scarlett has done amazingly! Mad Probs!!

Now the foreinger "hope" is on Stephano, Idra and White-Ra to make foreigners look less pathetic.

Sadly, I think I feel the same...

So safe to assume this is just another "Code A" qualifier?

I remember once where someone mentioned that if there were 50% Korean and foreign players in a qualifier, the foreigners had a better chance at qualifying (this was commented on GSL where there weren't many foreigners in a qualifier)
Now that the Koreans are participating in foreign tournaments every foreigner is getting crushed
