This is not the place to talk about LoL viewership.
This is also not a place to caster bash/balance whine/flame, etc.
Please don't argue about how many views LoL has, or which game is better, or we will be upset. (added page 174)
Also, lay off Scarlett please. (added page 227) |

*sigh*....disappointing. I wonder why TL does so much better in online tournaments vs live events.

props to illusion and sase to beat several koreans ...just because B is the easiest group doesn't make it easy lol, they're all stacked as crazy, it's still way harder than what Huk had...

Her defeating Demuslim Ddoro and Terious is nowhere near as impressive to me as taking a game and very nearly a series off of Oz.
The dude is one of the best Protoss in the GSL right now and she took him to the absolute limit.

Well, the most logical reason would be that the team is spread out through the world

Oh come on!. Lets start the hype train when she shows herself more consistent on more tournaments, yeah she did well this time but I can't believe people are hyping her as the new foreigner hope.
Not trying to hate, but people are hyping her too much for all we know atm. Hearts will broken I fear if we don't stop hyping people off few games.

Bomber is in pool play already and Jjakji qualified in the winners bracket. So..both. Who MMA lost against? Oh that must explain why there were some posts about "MMA is still the best terran in the world" or something. I'll try to see if Creator is qualified too, apparently he beat Ace 2-1 or 2-0.

The game 3 as it played out was extremely close Ill give you that much as all she needed was just slightly better engagement and an extra 20 seconds to put Oz in serious trouble. But oz had excellent crisis management and that allowed him to pull through. Truthfully what made game 3 close though near the very end was that he was seriously paranoid and taken aback at how aggressive Scarlett was and hence hesistant on doing any sort of massive attack although he was in great position for a good 2 minutes. Even when sniping the 4th for free, Oz seemed extremely hesistant on doing so in fear of some planned counter attack

Illusion is much better than Kiwikaki, but he also 2-0'd Zenio. So a trio of victories vs Ryung, Oz and Zenio is an awesome run, especially taking out Ryung in TvT.
Scarlett definitely wins for me though, i'd never even heard of her before and I follow all scenes as close as I can, maybe not closely enough :S

After all, he and State were beating Koreans pretty often during the recent teamleagues.
I'm just disappointed that so few foreigners managed even one upset against all the GSTL/GSL Code A players in attendance. I thought the worlds were closer than this!
In particular, Team Liquid players certainly could've performed better. Sheth, TLO, and Haypro have shown off some beastly upsets recently -- but another disappointing LAN performance, I dunno what the guys are doing for travel/prep/maintaining themselves during the tournament, but something's gotta change. Maybe it's just that all the players are so happy to see one another that they can't concentrate on playing? =p

Wow seems illusion is pretty good. I remember him for his crazy multitasking in a game vs sheth at MLG, but he has really gone to the next level. Beating Oz and Ryung wow.

New foreigner hope? Would never call her that, too inexperienced + not on a team. It does give me hope that a foreigner with so little experience can take a game off of someone like Oz. It means that the koreans aren't so far ahead as they were in BW. That's all. Certainly hope she does well, but don't necessarily expect it.

Damn was hoping Sase would break the flawless domination by the Koreans in the open bracket but it was not meant to be.
The mini-GSL jokes aren't really jokes anymore. In the groups, 17/20 are Koreans and group A and C are entirely all Korean. Well, Stephano, I guess even if you don't go to Korea, Korea will come to you.
Haha.
Oh well... Lim Jae Duk, Moon Sung Won, Lee Jung Hoon, and Jang Min Chul HWAITING~!

Really hope that for IPL5 IPL doesn't give away extremely valuable Pool spots to the IPL1,2, and 3 winner. Assuming the format is the same or similar that is.

Oz is a million times better than the ones she beat; seeing her defeat the others really impressed me, but upon seeing this morning that she went down 1-2 to Oz, I was downright shocked, seriously, an unknown Canadian chick taking a game of one of the top Code S Tosses? That's really something else, and I hope she'll recieve some really good contract offers by top tier NA teams after this event.

Agreed, they had online and offline qualifiers, no idea why they gave only one spot at offline qualifiers. Idra and white-ra don't deserve this spot tbh.

It wasn't even that she took a game off him. It was that all 3 games were so close and the mindgames were great (e.g. the 7 pool in game 2 was a good move for someone in her position, Oz just counter metagamed her by anticipating it). Game 3 was very very close, she absolutely could have won it with just a couple different decisions or better broodlord morphing placement (maybe).
