I really enjoyed the finals. It sucks that mkp dropped but things like that happen. I could care less that a bunch of people are mad on the internet. Doesn't really taint the finals for me. | ||

I'm just saying that these finals will always have an asterisk whenever brought up. It's the same as the Nate finals. Jaedong was able to beat Flash, but the power outage will always be the thing remembered about it. | ||

No one can argue that MKP played beautifully for the last 4 games but those are games he shouldn't have played in the first place. I feel bad for IPL4 because this shit has to happen when they worked so hard to partner with GomTV for this event. It was suppose to be the BEST tournament so far, but there had been so many issues throughout the tournament. Now I fear if this "partnership" will continue or if IPL will stay around for much longer. | ||

You forgot to take into account the most important part of the equation, positioning. Parting wasn't in MKP's production, only on the outskirts of the base near 3 raxes. Parting couldn't warp into MKP's base because he didn't have many resources at the time and the vikings could have killed it off. Parting didn't have the HT with him, they where at his base, and even then they need energy to use storms, still a long way away. Now Parting would need to attack up a ramp, into a wall, with SCV's pulled and repairing and then marines and marauders raining fire down. You also didn't take into account if Parting was ahead because he had just used his warp in or if he was just about to get it, most likely he had just used it, so if he commited to going up a ramp into a wall he would have done so without storms and with only the army he had there while MKP was reinforcing. I'm not saying MKP could have won from there, but his situation wasn't as game over as you make it out to be, and clearly the refs took this into account when they rulled on rematch. | ||

You have way more faith than I have  I think the best solution would be to implement a "regame from replay's end' feature, which just pause the game at the end of the replay (alternatively, X seconds before, judgement call that you make before you start the game ... then you could countdown and unpause the game where it was left off assuming the replay isn't broken. I mean, we already have replays so ... how hard can it be. Either way, doesn't matter. Marineking is amazing. He would, imho, 90% sure, have lost the game that was regamed. But he didn't steal anything, it's not his judgement call. | ||
