pvp goes to dumb 1base allins so often
both players expand and play a long drawn out macro game
nobody happy
that was a cool game, plenty of sloppy micro mistakes but as usual huk knows exactly what risks to take for pvp A long game does not make a good game. Some people prefer the 2 base blink stalker style of pvp, and i'm one of them tbh. What I don't get about this community, is that people tend to look at the games through this over inflated sense of perfection, "oh that was a mistake, oh he should've done that, what a bronzie". However they completely disregard the pressure the players are under, what is on the line when they are microing, what is affecting their decision making and therefore what leads to some things that aren't perfect. Enjoy the game for what it is. That game was so tense and finely poised at so many different moments, and that just increases the pressure even further. For the game to even out after so many major engagements is a testament to how evenly matched the players were over the course of the game. It's that tension and the excitement that comes from it which made it a good game. Completely agree with this. The fact that one can have his army slightly out of position at any moment actually creates tension, suspense and thus interest imo.

brown going for 3 immortal push with 4-gate support, I bet

Tech labs on two Barracks, Reactor on 1. Immortal production started.
Virus takes another Refinery at his natural and starts Concussive Shells. Gateway added on for Brown, as he pushes out with sentries and an Immortal.
All the units of Virus are caught by the Xel'Naga Tower! A bunker in production is taken out by Brown. He proceeds to attack a Supply Depot on the high ground.
Starport is finishing for Virus. Brown attacks into the two remaning bunkers! Nice forcefields keep the SCVs from repairing the first bunker.
Brown attacks again, taking out the last bunker, great forecfields from Brown split the army in half and the last bunker falls! Two medivacs join the fight, Virus pulls workers and is finally able to push Brown back.

15.00 +1 armor for Virus finishes up First Colossus and Thermal Lance upgrade on the way for Brown.
Virus is pushing out with a small bio-army consisting mainly of Marauders and medivacs. Virus takes down the rocks at the ramp to the natural of Brown before pulling back.
Virus tries to go for a huge drop, but Stalkers are in position to deflect it. Tries to go for a third. Double forge coming from Brown as Virus start Viking production.

That push is over when the medivacs have to come out.

Can't believe Virus didn't feel in a good enough position to punish that.
It was 1/1 bio + 4 medivacs against 0/0 gateway units with 1 immortal and a rangeless colossus.

I feel like in the days when Terrans were confident in this match-up Virus would have just pushed in immediately and won. Now they play scared

Why is Brown cutting workers at 60? allowing Virus to catch up in econ.
