Lots of people like that in the foreigner's scene - have the ability to be the best, but don't because this career path sucks.

because he comes from nowhere, kills everyone and dissapears for months again...
Yeah i had this same conversation with like 39847598374985 people last time he was active (DH Valencia/IEM New York time last year) in the IEM qualies he crushed MaNa 2-0, Beastyqt 2-0, LaLuSh 2-0, Stephano 2-0 then for some reason they let SjoW delay the finals for like 3 days and he lost He also crushed Nerchio 3-0 in a Go4sc2 finals and Nerchio said he was the best Terran in Europe and that he was glad LucifroN wasn't active much so he could actually win some events lol
He is always so underrated and i am 100% sure that if he took time off his studies he would be Stephano-esque (Ex: one of the only foreigners that would be able to match and beat top Koreans)

No there are not lots of people with LucifroN's ability in the foreign scene, which is why people post the comments above. Also i know for a fact that he wouldn't think the career path sucks, he was at the top of the WC3 scene for almost two years so he knows what it is like and spent a lot of time flying around the world to compete with the best of the best. He just wants to finish his studies first, which is a smart decision

Completely out of context but this is starting to look like WC3 Blizzcon 2010 where LucifroN was pretty much an up-and-coming talent without any prior success against the mighty Grubby and managed to win. That was quite spectuacular to say the least.
LucifroN has always been that guy with talents shooting through the roof.
Sorry to nitpick but i think it was Blizzcon 08 or 09, he beat ToD and Grubby then lost the finals to Lyn??

Lucifron is incredibly talented.
Back during the IEM Kiev qualifiers (if I recall the event correctly) he beat Stephano 2-0.
Rotti and I have said he could be the top EU guy for a long time. Problem is he doesn't really seem to care that much.

Totally better Terran than ThorZain and Kas
Problem is he seems to only play during holidays, instead seeking a Pro team and go full Time
a Korea stay would make him a ridicolous Machine, who wins tournaments left and right.
Hey hey hey, I hope you are using the capital letter to put on some emphasys on the word "machine" and not to compare him to a certain NA zerg... because otherwise your comparison could backfire ^^
Why is there no Lucifron fanclub ? He is raw talent, simple as that. The day he is done with his studies, and decides to go full time, Koreans should be very afraid.

Hi Bitter!!! Yeah check my post just up from that, the games vs Stephano he showed some really sick Hellion drop micro and made 2-0 ing Stephano look pretty easy which i don't think many people could say nowadays lol. Although i think it was IEM New York qualies (I have no idea how i remember small details like that from like a year ago lol)
YES, LUCIFRON SAID HE IS NOT GOING TO QUIT THIS TIME AND WILL START TAKING STARCRAFT MORE SERIOUSLY AGAIN!!!!!!!! WOOHOO, he is gonna wreck so much face

There are a lot of people in the foreigner's scene who I think have the ability to become the best, but who are never going to put in the time. There aren't a lot of people with the raw talent of Lucifron and Stephano, but that's because their time:skill ratio is insane.

I remember he was rumoured to have blue flamed medivacs, but I have never gotten to see it.

This hype is so funny... :D Lucifron did win against 2 lesser known norwegians in groupstage1 and went 2nd at groupstage2 behind Grubby beating only 2 relativly unknown zergs (TvZ he claims to be his best matchup) but loosing 0-2 agsinst Grubby with bad macro (just look a few pages before in this thread. Then he got a decent opponent in merz which is also one of the weakest if not the weakest of all groupwinners. His only outstanding result was the 2-0 against morrow.
What happens? People compare him to Stephano... I mean he might be good and talented, nothing to say about that - but really on Stephanos level? When he says on his own that he practiced quite much for this tournament?
Don't understand me wrong, I also see him as a really good terran but at this current moment he is WAY below other euro topterrans. The "what... if.... might" thing doesn't really count.
so now everyone is cheering for luci, and saying he was extremely talented, are you the same who agreed artosis when he said luci was a 1 base terran???

get off your high horse. (referring to the part of the post i didnt quote)
also, the bolded is worth considering when he says that he is going to play seriously now; considering he can at least post half-decent results with no consistent practice (key word consistent, he comes in waves, that is incredibly hard and if he consistently plays he will be so much better its not even funny, note that also makes his statement about cramming for this tournament irrelevant).

probably, although there are some who have known how good he is and others who were wc3 fans.
