yea but that game went over a hour

this went for half an hour, do the math

Assume colossi out at 10 minutes (which is stupid fast), that's still 20 minutes vs 50 minutes of possible field time. Do the math.

I don't think I've seen a Protoss get a mothership and lose in the last year. The vortex just means the zerg loses half his army to the archon toilet, and the other half dancing around the vortex. Sniping the mothership with corruptors is seldom a viable option.
A couple of times, I have managed to neural parasite the mothership and quickly vortex the protoss army. I wonder why pro zergs don't try that.

Yeah but that game was horrible and only took that long because of poor decision making

I think Leenock had neutral parasite the last engagement so he could do that but I don't know why he didn't. Although I didn't see if the infestors had enough energy.

Leenock for the most part has always been really shaky against protoss. He lost to inca for God's sake

Yeah Archon Toilet is really absurd. The fact that all the units come out so clumped up is what makes it so ridiculous. If they just made Vortex exactly like Stasis from BW, it would probably be a little less stupid.

Stasis is still a more interesting mechanic even with that proposed change. Blizz kind of annoys me with their "want to do something different" attitude instead of sticking to proven, tried-and-true units/abilities from BW.

Leenock got neural for that reason. Its just really hard to do unless the toss gets his mothership out of position

Because any half-decent protoss is not going to let his mothership get NP'd by a 7-range spell.

Seal vs Squirtle when Seal Neural Parasited the mother ship and wasted the vortexes on squirtle's army just like Scorch said

The collosi & mothership were in a great position to stop any Infestors that over-extended to try and neural.

Honestly i think the best idea is to redesign broodlords. As it is, a flying giant slow deathball doesn't feel very zerg like. Broodlords are the only unit that's slow enough to be affected by archon toilets so that kinda solves it.
ModeratorProtoss all-ins are like a wok. You can throw whatever you want in there and it will turn out alright.

Wouldn't it be possible to put a couple infestors in overlords and try to drop them, NP, and vortex instantly?

Thing is even if the banes get "wasted" on the archons that still helps with keeping the broods alive, especially when the colossi just target fired the banes down anyways.

Also here is hoping that protoss will get a real answer to infestor/broodlord in hots.
