So playing StarCraft full-time is not 'embracing another culture'? I think Ret is trying harder than Violet. But I might be biased

The crowd probably does understand english, the translator is not really needed, but is there just in case I guess.

I think they've stuck to that other world language. But it's strange to have a crowd of young people not understanding English, that's true.

How close is Portuguese to Spanish? Can you understand much between them?

I can understand 90% of spoken or written spanish,
What are you tinkering about?

How could you ever conclude that?It looks extremely obvious to me that they react before the translation, most of the people over there understands english at a decent level.
I like the part where sense is considered a common, settled thing.

Learning just a few words of the language people speak in foreign countries is a really big deal and always comes across well, I hadn't gone out of my way to find much out about violet before this event even though he's been at plenty of others but he seems like an absolutely brilliant guy, saying thank you to the crowd in Portuguese was a great touch.

In that case the crowd should just take over and cheer right after the answer in English, not wait for the translation. Kind of like at the DreamHack finals, only there nobody could actually speak Korean so it was a bit over-enthousiastic
