Just my two cents here, but I think ppl like MC have such sick timing attacks that going mutas puts you in a huge risk. Cause you have to cut regular units to prepare for mutas. And we have all witnessed how amazing MC's 2 base timing attacks are. If u take a chance, MC will make u pay...... pay badly.... Oh, thanks, that makes sense

I hope MVP and MC wins! Both my favorite players in the finals would be awesome! MVP should be able to take down MMA if he prepares more this time. Last time MMA prepared the shit out of those matches and just managed to catch MVP off guard imo. This should be a good match.

Rooting for MC and MVP.
Is this the 1st time they meet in finals right?

Gogogo MC, DRG isn't called protoss killer. Hope MVP goes mech and beats MMA, at the same time MMA is the best bio user in the game so the games should be really good.

So, if the goal of Blizzard Cup was to determine the best of the best of 2011, they have made it.
I think this 4 player lineup + Nestea is an accurate representation of Starcraft2 in 2011.
MC Code S champ x1 numerous other foreign tournaments I daresay he's the player with most fans, and most anti-fans, of all Korean players. In short, everyone cares about him, in one way or another. THE player of choice to make something look broken. This guy cannot win a single match without some outcry from viewers. Forcefields, 4-gate, Stargate openings, midgame gateway composition, sentry drops, protoss deathball and protoss in general have been considered OP shortly after his games.
DongRaeGu GSTL champ x1 GSTL MVP x1 The Korean player with the best english, and most likeable personality. Only loses to MC in terms of foreign tournament invites (I think) Only player that didn't have a lot of success in GSL, but his GSTL performance more than makes up for it.
MVP Code S champ x2 World Tournament champ MLG champ x1 WCG champ With or without this Blizzard Cup title, the best player of 2011 in many viewers' eyes.
MMA Code S champ x1 GSTL champ x2 GSTL MVP x2 MLG champ x1 As the winner of the first MLG featuring Koreans in MLG Columbus, and the only GSL tournament final held outside of Korea in GSL code S October, I think it's safe to say that MMA is the most beloved player by foreigners. I have never seen an MMA anti-fan in TL or Reddit, and that says a lot.

Wow, such a close poll between MMA and MVP. Given MVP's tired condition, I would say MMA.
Hoping for a MMA-DRG finals, with MMA winning.

Go MC this is your tournament!! Back to that presidential seat! You're lucky.... I still got 2 exams today :/..... BUT THEN, IT'S JUST SC2 ALL MONTH LONG! HELL YEAH! HAHA I GRADUATED 5 YEARS AGO HAHA, sorry, thanks for the LR
But now you are working and life isn't any better....just like me
I'll be cheering for MC and MMA, but I have a feeling that MVP is going to win the RO4 match. When MC goes on a hot streak he's nearly unstoppable so I predict DRG will be out.
|
I think whoever wins between MMA and MVP will take the tournament, regardless of whether MC or DRG wins the other set.
|
hard to tell between whos gonna win in these matchups. i would give the edge to mc and mvp
|
very nice matchups.. Can't really call it on either matchup. I'd give a slight edge to DRG and MVP, but MC played pretty well vs leenock and mma has proven he can beat MVP in high profile matches before. Too bad I don't get to watch it live.
|
If DRG wins it'll be a TvZ finals of the possibly best ZvT player versus one of the two best TvZ players. <3
|
Dammit I can't choose between boss toss and drg I like both of them and their playstyles too much. I guess so long as I get one good stargate play game from Mc and one good mass mutas game from DRG I will be happy.

You can probably add LG cinema 3d to DRG's achievements since it was an open tournament for $10k with a great playing field, and I guess if we're counting MLG's it's reasonable to count his IEM.
(ignoring dreamhack since it was an invitational)
Definitely agree that it's a good quality representation of SC2 in 2011.

Funny how all four of their nicknames are acronyms and contain 3 letters max.

Hmm all these guys are awesome that I'm fine with any of them getting to the finals. MC going against MMA or MVP would be pretty cool though, especially since both of them are not that great at TvP so it would likely be quite close.

mc is 2 time gsl champ

The Blizzard Cup could probably not have 4 bigger names in the ro4 at the moment!
So hyped for the finals!!! MMA / MVP fighting!!!
This tournament will also be remembered in more ways than just the games lol
