Contrary to popular belief Stephano is not from the States, any mindless spam asserting otherwise after this time (19:48 KST/ 5:48 AM EST/ 10:48 GMT) will meet a moderator response. We have enough confusing spam posting in LR threads these days. Lets try to keep the love for everyone's favourite French zerg reasonable.
And as always: - No player bashing. - No caster bashing. - No balance whining.

My predictions.
Any reason for that? btw, it is hard to give prediction when it is Bo1 with 5 great players.
Alrighty, here's my line of thinking.
DongRaeGu doesn't have particularly amazing ZvP,.
Was still good enough to 2-0 both MC and HerO the last time they met
Yeah, but he's really inconsistent. HerO has taken DRG out before too. JYP has taken out DRG. What I love about this tournament is how hard it is to predict because they're all amazing players.
Yeah and Bo1's as well. Basically I have no idea who will advance from this group I'm slightly worried for Mvp, so soon after his WCG tourney, with a bunch of Bo1's vs Protoss and zergs.

I dont like stephanos map either playing MVP on shakuras worst zerg map ever in the l8tgame. We all saw what MVP did to Nestea on that map at blizzcon. Nonetheless gonna be so sick tomorow
NesTea was obviously not playing seriously in the game you're talking about and I don't really think that Shakuras is that bad in ZvT in the "l8tgame." I think that Dual Sight might be the worst Zerg map on that list, and frankly, not to bash on Stephano too harshly, I doubt he'll be able to beat Mvp. Stephano's peak was when nobody really understood his style, but I think that since then, as his style has seen the light more often, players are starting to figure him out more. I haven't been horribly impressed with him recently, and I doubt he'll do that well in this group.
My predictions for this group are:
Mvp
HerO
MC
DRG
Stephano
Stephano might have won some tournaments, but I don't think that he's prepared to go up against the S class Korean players in this group. Only foreigner who might stand a chance in this group would be NaNiwa (maybe HuK but his PvP is too fickle, sometimes really good, sometimes god awful).
Mvp is Mvp, so who would be surprised if he won the group? HerO has been on fire recently, but perhaps I have him that high because I like him as a player so much haha. MC is good, but a bit overconfident sometimes. Who knows though, he hits dirty timings and could possibly win it. DRG has bad ZvP (though it has been improving since the first time I saw it). He has a better shot at beating Mvp, but against two of the best PvZers I'm not sure how he'll do. Hahahahahaha. I certainly hope that you're trolling.
A lot of people here are saying that DRG's ZvP is bad but in this interview, he says his ZvP is better than his ZvT. The interview was quite recent too.
MVP would very likely top it in a BoX, but given it's Bo1 almost anything can happen.
Don't really feel comfortable predicting results. MVP, MC, and DRG are probably the favourites to advance, but I can see Stephano and HerO pulling out a couple of wins and making it awkward.

Poor MC, having to play PvZ on maps that encourage 2 base play, if only he had any experience with it =(

The thing is Stephano has played the same way he does in ladder as in tournaments. His recent success is mostly due to people unable to adapt to his style.
As far as MC goes, he still has the best PvT. He beat DRG in KSL few days ago, and could definitely take HerO out. HerO and MC should be well accustomed to Stephano's style by now after practicing with them. DRG may have picked up a thing or two from Leenock. I just have a feeling MVP won't advance lol. I could be wrong though.

Here we go again. You speak with alot of korean top players since you know this? starting to figured him out o.0 Or are you just sayign what Idra sayd in some interview? But you sayd it you havent followed stephano much. Did you knew that many many Korean pro´s want to practise with Stephano since he arived in Korea? Did you know that all of play XP is talking about Stephano?
I'm guessing I'm the one who's not high on HerO going far in this tournament...He's in the up and odwn matches for Code S now but Idk....MC always seems to show up big in tournaments when he does decide to show up, when he doesnt...his showcase is just a god awful mess...DRG is just a really good bo1 as you can see with his GSTL winrates. MVP is MVP. Stephano...meh.
It looks like the consensus is MVP/DRG making it out and HerO/MC/Stephano fighting for the last two spots.
Also, here's what I think. MVP's clearly the favourite but because he just got back from WCG, I bet he's probably gonna drop a couple of sets especially in a BO1 format.
MVP <Bel'Shir Beach Winter> MC Record-wise, the map is slightly terran favored but MC is probably gonna bust out some strong 2 base timing and kill MVP.
hero <Daybreak> Stephano Stephano won't be able to handle HerO's PvZ style especially on this map.
MVP <Tal'Darim Altar LE> DongRaeGu The map's pretty large and very open, I have a feeling that DRG will do some sick flanks on MVP everytime he pushes but MVP somehow has is able to crush DRG.
MC <Calm Before the Storm> hero MC's got this, sorry HerO.
Stephano <Crossfire SE 1.1> DongRaeGu I'll give DRG the edge in this.
hero <Antiga Shipyard 1.1> MVP MVP is going to completely stomp HerO especially on this map if he plays straight up.
Stephano <Dual Sight 1.1> MC MC is going to do some 2 base timing that Stephano won't be able to stop.
hero <Shakuras Plateau 2.0> DongRaeGu I know this map is pretty much in favor of Toss over Zerg but I have a feeling DRG will take this.
Stephano <Shakuras Plateau 2.0> MVP MVP's TvZ is terrifying, he definitely got this.
MC <Crossfire SE 1.1> DongRaeGu This game could go either way, the way the map is structured, 2 base timings from MC can be very strong but it's also easy for DRG to counter attack.
