Contrary to popular belief Stephano is not from the States, any mindless spam asserting otherwise after this time (19:48 KST/ 5:48 AM EST/ 10:48 GMT) will meet a moderator response. We have enough confusing spam posting in LR threads these days. Lets try to keep the love for everyone's favourite French zerg reasonable.
And as always: - No player bashing. - No caster bashing. - No balance whining.
Enjoy the games. |
MVP seems basically untouchable atm. HerO is very good in PvZ, so he might only lose to MVP MC isnt good enough i guess, he might get one of even 2 series, but i doubt it. Stephano is hard to call, he might go 3-1 or 1-3... i guess only MVP isnt beatable for him. For DRG, basically the same thing as for Stephano. Could beat Steph, MC and HerO (and has prolly the best chances against MVP either), but he could also lose to all of them...

MVP : 3 - 1 HerO : 2 - 2 Stephano : 2 - 2 DRG : 1 - 3 You forgot to include MC but thinking it through 2-2 result from 3 players would be epic.. it would ultimately create a tie-break resulting in more games from the players two advancing while one being left out.. Even BETTER would be a 2-2 record amongst all five players which is possible which would most likely result in pool play having to restart AGAIN.
I'm being greedy here...but somehow I hope this happens :3

People throwing MC off right away lol.. MC has basically broke even with MVP and has recently beaten Stephano and DRG. His only shaky matchup would be PvP vs HerO so I can't help but laugh at people saying he'll go 0-5.
Though the maps are pretty anti protoss. The only protoss favoured map is.. a pvp lol.

Expect Hero and Stephano to be the 2 that don't advance.

Very sick line up. Hoping Stephano advances.

MC beat stephano recently? It was exactly half a year ago dude.

Few days ago in ladder.. though people are going to say "ladder doesn't count" yet those same people are the ones hyping stephano via his ladder run
|
1. DRG 2. MVP 3. Stephano 4. HerO 5. MC
MVP comes in second because he's a little drunk off WCG.
|
I think MVP, DRG and Stephano will make it through. MVP is only losing to MC, and DRG and Stephano beat everyone that isn't called MVP. >_>
That's a rough map pool for MC Don't think he'll get through unless there's a bunch of 2-2 tiebreakers :/

Thing is Stephano has NO experience with a GSL stage environment. its hard to tell hes going to do well, thats why i bet hes going to finish last of his group unfortunately...

Hah, rarely do we see MC being the underdog but in this tournament he definitely is. And to the poster above me, that guy was talking about a ladder game.

I would theorize it's a very important factor for foreigners in the GSL. When they play in the GSL they're not playing only for themselves, but basically for the whole non Korean world, and I'm sure it's a LOT of pressure and that's very hard to handle. They know all eyes are on them, and that's a very hard position to play comfortably into.

This is the highest possible chance of MVP to get kicked out. He really has to show his mettle here.
No TvTs, T v P against Hero/MC which he is weak at, T v Z against the wild stephano style + best muta user in DRG. I can possibly see him losing early.
