Same drill as usual: - No caster bashing.
- Excessive tournament bashing that detracts from game discussion will be met with moderator action. Criticism is welcome, whining is not.
- In general do your best to stay on topic and discuss what we're all here for: the games.
Enjoy the games guys. |

Yeah still wondering about that.. Tweet the world with a 'free entrance' action or something. They still got 25k viewers onstream, make it more enjoyable for the bigger audience?

From what we've seen, I find it hard to even say one hundred. Maybe they will release the numbers. They wouldn't be very flattering though.

I'd like to know this as well. Anyone have a friend who happens to be at the event? I suppose the likelihood isn't very high =(

Might be Xeris VIP seats. I doupt it since VIP people usually get a less "in the thick of it" seats and more "these are nice and give us plenty of space". Atleast all events I've been behind the scenes/attended to have them like that, dreamhack usually has them on the skiers-right side of things.

Guys dont judge the event by day 1. Im pretty sure we will see 10 times as many people tomorrow - or at least i hope so.
Despite that, we are pretty lucky to have so awesome games i guess... reason to stay awake!^^ And <3 Demuslim! And <3 to Bitterdam, awesome job, best cast today!
|
Anyone know if the VOD's will be up before day 2 begins?

Wtf people are behind the casters? That is a terrible setup tbh.

It's like a Comedy Club. It's better to give away free tickets to play to an empty crowd. At least you'd be able to satisfy the sponsors, hopefully sell some concessions/merchandise, etc.

I didn't even know the NASL finals were this weekend.... I live so close to the venue lol, but glad I didn't go.
It's finals week next week for most people int he UC system as well, so that might be a reason a lot of college students aren't going.

As an ex roadie stage guy I can honestly say it took way more people to setup that stage than are actually enjoying it as an audience

Really hope for a good match, idk who to root for but I would like to see DeMu represent himself in another tournament well >.> been a while! TvT is always a an iffy MU though, could go either way

Looks to be 5 people behind them.

People complaining about the audience numbers, are you forgetting day 1 of IPL and DreamHack winter, im pretty sure there are more people at this NASL event then those two events on day 1.

lol that game was so epic i don't care if sage loses all his next games. I am still a fan of him because of that game.

Okay, seriously, it's like exam week for the US. Seeing as how demographics for eSports fans usually turn out (aka college-aged guys), it's not at all surprising to see that there just aren't that many people there.
|
I expected at least 100.. That's kind of sad for such a large event/prize money pool/hype/tournament.
