Same drill as usual: - No caster bashing.
- Excessive tournament bashing that detracts from game discussion will be met with moderator action. Criticism is welcome, whining is not.
- In general do your best to stay on topic and discuss what we're all here for: the games.
Enjoy the games guys. |
Ahaha Nice with abit of smacktalk, should be a good weekend for esports

Sound is currently a problem again, I hope it got fixed before SC2 matches.

It's not out of sync it's in game volume at 100% and caster volume at like 30% xD This is so funny.

So, what exactly is the difference between HoN, LoL, and DotA2?
|
Hon looks so different from last time I played it.

Okay, NASL. Okay. I don't care much about HoN, but they were obviously trolling. All casters make fun of small audiences early on in events regardless of what game they are shoutcasting.... That includes SC2.

Sound is also incredibly low, I have my volume max'd out and it's still very quiet.

ok stupid question, but what can anyone help explain the stat down at the bottom of the screens for HoN?

Can anybody with UPC watch 1080p+ ? Appears to be dropping every few seconds from around 2,8 Megabit / second to below 1 Megabit / second which results in stuttering every few seconds.

Dota2/HoN: You can attack your own creeps when they are at 50% to deny experience and gold. You lose Gold when u die. You got much less mana to use, so it is not common to farm with your spells. High GPM is much more rewarding. Laning phase is more punishing (due to goldloss and no decreasing goldrewards for kills) There are teleportscrolls, so you can port to every building of your faction (makes ganking/counterganks easier, or even possible) Also all heroes have a main attribute (Strength/Agi/Int) Usually Str = high HP and melee Agi = Carries Int = Caster/Supporter, low HP This is not true for all heroes, but gives you a general idea
There are MUCH more, you can not really compare LoL to Dota/Hon

Bitrate will always vary depending on what is on screen at the moment. If all players cast some imba-ultra-magic with lots of WC3-like graphic effects the bitrate will obviously spike like hell. A static statistics page on screen will not require anywhere close to that bandwidth. Lower the quality if you don't have a connection able to handle it.

I have no idea who is winning lololol

LoL is easier to get into, generally consider more casual, it has a lot of issues in terms of a competitive interface, lacking a number of built in options that the other games have, it is however the most popular in the west with a number of additional fun oriented maps. Game is fairly passive in my experience at high levels because of a number of build in escapes, hero design is sort of standardized.
HoN is very gank centric and has a ton of action, hero design is generally niche based but not as much as DotA. Just a faster paced version of DotA in a sense.
DotA is the oldest of the three, most competitively developed and has very niche based hero design, this becomes more apparent in it's competitive picks, where the bans and picks alternate unlike the other two. This means you can directly ban to counter the early picks of your opposing team creating more dynamic strategies and shutting off specific strategies instead of defaulting to blind-banning the same sets of heroes.
Just some general differences, not going to go into depth much further because then it becomes a massive debate.

They aren't going to leave the "free stream" at 360p, are they? They can't be so stupid.
