and i guy known for scv allins is top terran or what. also puma couldnt have gotten it any worse in his bracket. another tourney looking really grim for terran fans. times sure change, when only few months ago we had mass tvt finals everywhere.
It's always been like this outside Korea. GSL and a few MLGs with Korean Terrans are the only place Terran wins, and even in the last couple MLGs we've had non-Terran winners.
Korean terrans are just way way way way better than any other foreign terran.
I definitely don't think PuMa can beat Genius, but most of these predictions seem likely.
You don't think Puma, known for his great TvP and just took out huk in macro games, wont beat genius, who has been less than impressive in recent months?

toss has been dominating everything except for code s. it's only at the top of code s where terrans do well (maybe the top 3-5 terrans), and it doesn't seem so as of late. maybe they are just good, not because terran is imbalanced? seeing as how they also have stellar winrates in every other matchup.

I've been preaching this for a while now. Terran is not nor has it been imbalanced, it's merely been a case in Code S of a few elite Terrans who were actually just that much better than everyone else making it look like Terran was too strong. Nowhere else, even in Code A or GSTL, has Terran been dominant. People just like to blame everything but themselves for their struggles, which is the exact opposite of the mindset you should have when gaming competitively. Always blame yourself when you lose, and then look for ways to fix what you did wrong. You'll develop a safer, more conservative style of play with a better sense of when you can take risks and suddenly you'll find that the game wasn't imbalanced, you were just crying because the other player wasn't letting you get away with stuff you shouldn't expect to get away with every time.

Pretty much... but seems blizzard balanced terran because of korean terrans to the point where even they are doing poorly (recent Gsl, providence, and 10 protoss 2 terran 4 zerg left for dreamhack) This is very bad news for foreign terran, and ladder where protoss and zerg has always dominated. I kind of feel the korean terran in GSL was a bubble though based on how easy it was to remain in Code-S until now (Ensnare) and the type of maps they had, and it was a bit jumping the gun on balancing.

I agree. A higher % of skill pro gamers in korea just chose terran to play, so it skewed the stats. It made terran look dominant when they weren't. The foreign scene has always had more top end toss/zerg players and korea is the only place in the world where terran looked dominant and that was just due to the skill level of the kr terran players, not the race.

So true. Although I'm a Toss, I gotta agree that Terran get nerfed the most, they hardly have any significant buff, while the other races get some nerf but also some major buff. Blizz seems to do a worse job of balancing sc2 compared to BW. Still, BW is an expansion anyway, so I hope HOTS will improve balance more.
That is mostly how I see the tournament playing out, except I dont think White-Ra can beat Sase. Also if Nerchio beats Mana he will definately beat ret because his zvz is so strong, but he shouldn't beat huk.
I'd also be very surprised if Puma best nani after he got through DRG. I hope both Nani and Sase play well today. Nerchio is the player looking strongest that I've seen yet.
