That's why I have never considered the 1-1-1 to be a allin.It's kinda like a 7 gate in pvZ that servers as a reset button when you kill of the zergs third and than have the choice to commit or back out.This leaves you in a pretty good position as 2 base toss against a 2 base zerg.Same as with terrans feel really comfortable playing against protoss on even number of bases because their income will always be higher and they will have the more cost efficient units,and if toss decides to go this 1 base colo play they just stop tank production after 3 and mass up banshees than proceed to own everything because the protoss has no gass units on the ground that can shoot air because of the gas invested in colos from 1 base. I really do not understand why terrans stopped doing 1-1-1s so much,its almost as if it fell out of style for no reason as I have never really seen a effective counter to it. The best way to deal with it imo and they way I have seen that the build was stopped more or less cost effective is to get a fast expo and than rush for observers while trying to get as many gates up as you can and than try to intercept the terran army while their tanks are unsieged or sandwich it with a proxy pylon out on the map,kinda like a zerg does with lings.I don't know,its really a very very interesting situation in the meta game that this build creates. | ||
