I do accept that my judgment could be clouded by my blatant Sage fanboyism though. I'm religiously maintaining my stance that ForGG plays just like 15 other Terrans. Does seem to be a minority viewpoint though apparently. Do you really think that MVP/MKP etc. have displayed that kind of micro? MKPs marine micro vs banelings was one thing, but the way forgg dodged storms and kited was simply unparalleled. The way he overstimmed was cool too =/ But yes, in general his micro was at a high level. And yes, I have seen MKP display just as good micro. And no, I'm not a MKP fan =/ but MKP lacks in other departmants havily

Does seem to be a minority viewpoint though apparently. have to agree, he played solid but didn't really show that much of brilliance. He overextended his early marines and should have lost more if the forcefields were placed better. He won the game only because sage also overextended and just lost to the superior macro
ummm no. sage would've crushed him if forGG's multi-tasking and micro wasn't much higher than the typical players Sage has played (IE bad ones who fall over when they are faced vs unexpected situations).

Well done, but how is that "unparalleled"?
I think there's some hyperbole going on, but he was dealing with warp prism etc. too.

I did not expect him to micro that so well though. He dodged storms and kited zealots really well imo. Still gotta work on that Medivac Micro though. Yeah, his medivacs nearly never stood still to heal, as he has moving them around with his army However, how he handled that 2-front attack was just stellar.. Really cool and collected How do you handle medivacs so you can kite with army and let them heal? I always have them in one group and fail major time. Would appreciate the tips I think its to do with having the medivacs on another hotkey, and not moving them with the army. They'll still follow your bioball when you stim, since they chase your units to heal Just have to remember to look after them when they're idle
You can just attack move them onto your units (shift queue a bunch to stop them falling off the group if one unit dies) and they'll follow along healing when necessary.

Can't believe the BW fans are hyping ForGG after that game. maybe he's really good and has something special but he couldn't show it in this game. The first game was some normal terran cheese which wasn't even well executed. And it's not that hard to micro 3 marines vs 1 zealot all the time! LOL

And it was the fact he was macroing insanely behind what was constant kiting and storm dodging.

Man I just gotta say. The next year or so is going ot be absurdly exciting as we see the BW pros gradually make the switch. Not to mention HOTS...

when you're not letting your barracks rest at all at the same time?
anyway, i agree that it wasn't unparalleled, it's the standard of what a good sc2 pro SHOULD be doing. it's just that not many pros are at that level yet.

Bomber/MC had nowhere the accomplishments of the others. Ok, and who had more success in bw ? ForGG or MVP ? forgg overall but from what HotBid said it was MVP who was better at the end most likely MVP is much better in 2010. Forgg basically never played pro games in 2010.
Might wanna double check TLPD. He played tons. Just not at his 2008 level.
