On November 14 2011 00:30 Antoine wrote:game 2 of the 3rd place match starts with Colagirl in the red at 2 and SsQ in the blue at 5, walling the main with depot barracks depot. ssq with a quick 2nd factor this time in addition to one with a reactor, and colagirl doesn't spot the 2nd. she has a spine up and starts an evo chamber and additional spine to help protect the nat, plus a macro hatch. ssq's 2nd factory is idle, now she swaps it to be on anothe rreactor! gonna be a lot of hellions.... colagirl is about halfway through ling speed and the queen pokes at the first 2 hellions some. colagirl takes another gas and as the macro hatch pops here are a ton of hellions being produced, along with a starport and techlab. ssq starts a roach warren and has anice wall set up, the hellions can't get in! great queen block, lings can get out but hellions can't get in. ssq pops the evo chamber, busting the wall, but there are now 2 queens alive poking at the hellions and transfusing one another to stay alive. a the spine crawler is also doing som really nice damagae and, all low, he hellions have to retreat. ssq has her expansion building, and now starts an elevator with hellions into the back of colagirl's main. colagirl has a spire on the way but no roaches at home. the hellions though aren't microd much and a huge swarm of queens forces them away. a second batch moes in but again doesnt do a ton of damage, and 2 banshees are on the way to try their luck. spire finishes about the same time as roach speed.

Hmm pretty onesided, colagirl seems to be decent but ssq fell apart rather hard in that series.

Pretty shocked Colagirl isn't in the final, when I was watching Aphrodit she was pretty mediocre.

Yeah, she cakewalked group play without dropping a game 5-0 and she got screwed by single elimination. Looks like Aphrodite prepared well with some RainbOw support.
