I'd like to see more early harass from Mana too, Stephano is just too strong if he's allowed to get 4 bases super fast like that.

He pretty much always goes "1a" with his army, and therefore wins by macroing his opp out. Or am I wrong? ![]()

Protoss death ball is a myth. The extreme late game deathball is a myth in that you can't use a deathball which is powerful in the mid to early late game to roll over the extreme late game zerg units. Stephano had largely 3-3 upgrades on everything and too many BLords and infestors. I think Mana could've utilized his "deathball" earlier in the game though.

Definitely not better than recent White-ra's PvZ. Mana's turtlish style might work against some zergs, but it ends up as this game against Stephano vs extremely good zergs. He harasses too little and his late game expanding is just plain non-existent.

I think the main reason why broodlords are so strong in bigger numbers is that all ground units get stuck and can't attack ( especially archons with 3 range). Fungals could still root some of the army, but if your fast enough with your feedbacks, you would have atleast a small chance

Pity it was streamed on own3d.tv, which is actually the most horrible viewing experience I've had with streams - with constant freezes and dropouts.

Stephano had the bigger army. When they showed the army value stephano was clearly ahead. So it's only normal he wins the fight.

I'm not saying Mana and Stephano are bad - Mana has an amazing PvT, his PvP vs MC was world-class, and Stephano swept aside IPL and looked undefeatable. But in this game, neither of them played that well. It looked like a very standard macro game between 2 pretty good players. Not really finals-worthy IMO. Also, I hate own3D too. It's just so astoundingly shit.

The only way it's even remotely possible is Archon Toilet, but an Infestor can just neural the mothership, or the corruptors can just one shot it :/ If you have so many Corruptor that you can oneshot a Mothership you are going to lose And Vortex has 9 range.
