I've rarely seen a more well deserved victory in SC2 than the one Supernova got today, he was the better player overall. He might have played above the level he normally plays on, but that's irrelevant here.
Such a shame, perhaps if people stopped being so racially biased, they could actually enjoy the awesome games we get. -_-

Poor DRG, game 1 will haunt him for a long time. He could have won it multiple times imo

TBH I think DRG choked, especially game 3. Why didn't he make heaps of banelings when he saw SuperNova was going mass marines with his mutas?
supernova got the gold early and couldnt be punished for it, nothing DRG coulda done after that. with mules on the gold your so far behind that all the money banes in the world wont stop that many marine medivac.

Seriously? It's fine to be frustrated with the bias you feel casters may have and how much they express it but wishing for a player to lose to punish the casters is your response?

RO4 all terran...

MVP is playing just too good atm, and just outplays him everytime they meet.
We will also see another TvTvTvT final 4 again btw. GG GomTvT I hear they're thinking about changing the name of the highest league to Code T.
I see what you did there. Nice one.

Game 3 he was really tired. But how could he not punish Supernova when he caught the 2rax. in Game 1. And then wasted his lead

Nestea should get 1 game off MVP.
Clide's T v T is pretty good; MMA's can be amazing or a little lackluster. I think this could be closer than people expect.

DRG isn't as good as some people want to say ... he is only the 2nd best ZvT in the world, and likely the second best Zerg in the world though. Some people have hyped him beyond that, which I don't think is fair. Maybe lacking in the descision-making and strategy department against code s terrans, which he is inexperienced. You gotta admit DRG has without a doubt the best zerg mechanics, multitasking and unit control in the world. You never see an idle unit for DRG, he is always mobile, playing to zerg strengths. :D
exactly, and even with great mechanics like that and being one of the best zergs in SC2, he can still be easily beaten by an army controlled by mid-tier terrans. Doesnt matter what Units he makes. Once Terrans get to a certain point its just almost impossible to kill them. Watch DRG vs Bomber at MLG on Shakuras and you'll see exactly what i mean.

It was a smart gamble. He knew DRG would most likely go his favourite build fast liar into mutas in the clutch match so he used hellions to take out any potential ling scouts. As long as DRG didn't go for roaches, supernova would have been in a great position. He also noticed how DRG puts so much gas into mutas that he has so little banes, so he just went marines medivac only to beat the crap out of DRG. DRG is being read too easily and i think he needs a more reactive play style.

But, I dont see how his play is any different from the typical TvZ play even on NA ladders. He turtled up so well and held on so well in Game 2 (and Game 1 to an extent). DRG almost never had a chance to do much of anything. Frankly DRG lost the first game rather than Supernova winning it. Should have went for a different late game unit composition, and been more careful with his engagements.
Ok, zerg players would probably want to engage at a more open area. But, what could DRG do, if the terran player seiges up at the choke? He had mass seige tanks everywhere, basically shutting out any form of ground attack. Supernova's unit comp is the same unit comp available to all terran players from 6 mins into the game and it was beating almost every possible unit choice in the zerg army. The only unit not used was the hydralisk, I think.

Metalopolis has great gold base placing where you know instantly if your opponent takes it, and it's easy to punish them if they take it early because you don't leave your own base exposed by attacking it. Gaining an economic advantage through hiding a base that more than pays for the investment before it can be punished just seems really lame to me in a competitive game.
It's a problem compounded by the Terran lift off mechanic because early game you're not going to be able to kill it and the base will just relocate. This is coming from a Terran player, so I'm not being biased or whining about imbalance either.
yeah something in between lifting off, oversaturating a gold with mules, is kind of impossible to deal with as a zerg player. It's basically pull off a really good cheese, or just lose.

MVP 3-1 Nestea
Ganzi 3-2 Supernova
MMA 3-2 Clide (sorry Artosis)
Happy 3-1 Coca

I try to LR as much as I can but sometimes real life stuff gets in the way.. like eating sleeping having + Show Spoiler + and that kinda stuff.

Damn the protoss that got through to ro16, he destroyed my prediction of Ro8 being Nestea vs Terrans (and I even almost would have failed that one due to Nestea almost losing as well).
+ Show Spoiler +What is more likely: 1. All terran players are better then all zerg/toss players 2. Sc2 is very far from balance at the moment
