It has improved. He beat a lot of good terrans in the Up and Down matches and the Team League (eg. MMA and Ganzi).

Ganzi and Supernova looked amazing today, Virus looked a lot more beatable then those two. I'm pretty sure DRG would have beaten Virus.

I'm actually sick of hearing Tastosis talk about Nestea. I'm usually a big fan of Tastosis, and enjoy their hyping, but it's just getting ridiculous. To the point where I actually want Mvp to humiliate Nestea and stretch his record vs him to 11-1.

It's easy to remember, it was the first half of MC's master plan (the other half did not pan out as well...).

The point is that for mediocre code S players (ie - better than all foreigners), Terrans can beat the good but not great players pretty much consistently.
DRG isn't as good as some people want to say ... he is only the 2nd best ZvT in the world, and likely the second best Zerg in the world though. Some people have hyped him beyond that, which I don't think is fair.

Thank you Tasteless and Artosis for casting not only an epic day of Code S but probably the funniest couple of hours Ive had listening that I can recall!!

According to whom? It's not like Supernova has ever been that good himself. His GSL record isn't bad but it's not brilliant.

Unlike other weak tournaments, code S punishes tactical mistakes, which DRG loves to make

Well deserved - he is the best player atm.

Funny how when Terran gets as much as a 20 supply lead, the game never lasts very long. DRG had up to 80 supply lead in game 1, but it didn't matter... Then people blame it on "bad engagements"...

I'd say supernova DRG games were the most entertaining. All quality, amazing to see DRG's multi-taskingand unit control. Looks like DRG's ZvT style has been figured out to an extent. A reliance on counter attacks and sacrificing baneling numbers to get a large number of mutas out in order to put the opponent on the back foot. However supernova utilized heavy and fast marine upgrades and bio play, with a heavy reliance on being greedy and defensive in the mid game. The mid game is where most terrans get torn apart by DRG, supernova played it out well. I'm the biggest DRG fanboy out there, but these were great fair games. I think zergs will have to figure out how to pressure those early helion into double expand builds tho. Roach/ling doesn't cut it enough.

I see. Should be some good games then.

I actually used to cheer for terran players...
But its just getting silly now. I can't see it just being about an individuals performance or skill level anymore, both Leenock and DRG played really sick today but its just so difficult to kill Terran armies.

IMMvp going for a 5th GSL win? :D
|
Supernova! Why must you kill my perfect liquibet day
ggs though, first two games were crazy

supernova knows how to abuse his race and that's why a player with no multitasking like him can take out someone like drg, sad games to watch. massing orbitals while still only on 3-4 base makes it pretty apparent what's wrong with the mule even for the bronzies who haven't realized it yet

It'll be MVP v. winner of Ganzi/Supernova.
MVP is playing just too good atm, and just outplays him everytime they meet.
We will also see another TvTvTvT final 4 again btw. GG GomTvT

Great day of GSL goodness.
